At 9:51 am, crews responded to report of 2 trapped motorists on Browns Mill Rd over Difficult Run in Vienna area of @fairfaxcounty. Driver followed 2 other cars into rapidly moving and rising water after another driver removed previously installed protective barrier
Sounds like someone needs some serious dental work, a 32-tooth extraction by way of fist.

@TwelveBaud
Yeah, I read that as "after another driver removed previously installed protective barrier [with their car, getting swept into the river]"
-
@izzion I read it as there had been a temporary barrier placed across the road to stop people driving in the water and some genius deliberately removed it to cross anyway.

@loopback0
THIS IS WHY WE NEED MORE CHARACTERS IN OUR NEWS REPORTIN

This is a show in Canaderp and I am amazed it has not branched out to other countries:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada's_Worst_Driver
You can find episodes of it on YouTube. Euthanasia really should be an option in this show, for the public good.

There's only one country called Canada.
That aside we had $Countrys Worst Driver before it branched out to Canada.
Also:
-
@Polygeekery With regards to the episodes. There was women that cried because they got stressed out merging onto a motorway and they had like half a mile or more to do it.
-
@loopback0 Yours may have been frist but ours is the best
As of 2018, Canada's Worst Driver is the longest-running version in the franchise, as it has begun its record-setting 14th season.

Canada's Worst Driver
How can you tell who's worst when nobody can actually drive, because the cars are all stuck in the snow?

-
@boomzilla So that is what this letter on my gearshift lever is for!
R is for Rocket Laucher!

Well... VW DSGs could be had with levers if I'm not mistaken.

So, maybe this belong in Police Accountability? But, why do you think a police department should have an AT-4?

Why so defensive? I was talking about my own post, the one you responded to, not your own post. I don't care where you post.

Again why so defensive, perhaps I should phrase as "Can you think of a reason a police department should have an AT-4"?

@boomzilla Dunno, thought you might be able to form a thought on the subject, but I see that you are cowardly today.

For dealing with people who throw used chewing gum on the sidewalk.
-
@dkf As long as you get the version that can be used for anti-personnel purposes, as the normal anti-tank projectiles are useless against pedestrians. (Although, being hit with an anti-tank projectile straight on will still probably be very painful, even if it wont activate).
But you can also do the thing that some criminals in Sweden did when they managed to steal an AT-4. They were going to use it on a rival gang, of course, going up to their base to fire it into their building.
-
The one firing the weapon did it from a distance of 10-15 meters. The projectiles need a distance of at least 30 meters to activate. Police found the unexploded projectile stuck in a washing machine.
-
The one firing the missing laid completely straight facing the target. There is a large flame going out the back of the launcher, meaning when firing it from a lying position you need to lie at an angle so you wont get your legs toasted by the flame. Police also found a bloody trail leading away from where it had been fired.
-
-
@Tsaukpaetra In case you haven't seen it:
-
@Atazhaia
What do you know, all those expensive days at boot camp to learn how to fire weapons really are useful after all
-
@Carnage Not for shitting.
-
@izzion Hell, I knew that even without going to boot camp.

Emphasis mine.

@Lorne-Kates I wonder how many of those slow Virginia drivers were heading to/from work in Washington D.C.?

So they're gonna ticket all drivers caught in a traffic jam?
That's deliciously evil.

@Lorne-Kates the bottom line is, we finally have means to make the local govt do what we want (as long as we have enough followers).

If you have enough followers, you aren't "regular people".
-
@Lorne-Kates Right. But those unregulars with followers can still retweet the regulars. That's how most things go viral. Remember Trump's recent campaign slogan, "jobs not mobs"?
