Infinite Flamewar

At least it's better than digging ditches.
Probably, though the ditches might have a use. Maybe we could bury power lines and reduce outages due to storms. Of course, the advantage of the F-35 is that it can be used to break those fallacious windows in the first place.
-
and then Nigerian, Brazilian, Indian, etc. We might even be able to work out a diplomatic deal where an American company builds and manages the Lagos port to world standards of efficiency, and could make a serious difference to a hundred million people's lives while profiting.
while i like the intent behind what you're saying, it's not a good idea. i can't see something like that ending well
-
Can you get behind declaring war on Mars? Finish the job that Jupiter was too lazy to start?
-
uhm... wat?
i tought that was musk's job
-
Indeed it is. But then, when you have Nobel prize winning economists saying we should prepare for alien invasion to get out of a slump, can you blame them?
Nothing unites like a common enemy. I don't see it working without a concrete enemy though.
-
And a war economy isn't really a fun economy, no matter how productive it is. But he's an economist / columnist whose columns and public pronouncements contradict the econ 101 textbook that he wrote. In fact, he made a statement saying something like, "No serious economist believes that..." and then people started quoting his textbook that said exactly that.
Now he thinks that Trump is talking smart economics policies.
-
ONT: it still goes on full speed. and with new users everyday
has @Polygeekery created our own centralia?
only time will tell
-
At least it's better than digging ditches.
In my saner moments I wonder if digging ditches or stocking shelves at Tescos would of been the better option. I mean IT is suppose to attract the best and brightest. Look at what we see every day. Fucking hell look at the garbage I wrote last week. That's going to be in production forever because it works.

Flamewar was not infinite. Currently at less than 1800 posts.
-
Feature Request: Infini-Scroll-Wrapping. When you reach the end it seamlessly loops back to the beginning!
-
Maybe that's what we can do with the next XSS we find.
-
-
Typo, meant less than 1900. Still a lot less than $\infty$.
-
What if it feels like infinity? Like, feels like that really bad? A lot, I mean.
-
Are you finitephobic? Or transfinite?
-
I've often said that the only proper support any politician deserves is from six men wearing black armbands.
You mean like some of Toronto's City Councillors who are legit [del]corrupted and taking bribes from the taxi industry[/del] I mean [del]completely fucking insane[/del] totally working with the best interest of the city by wearing black armsbands, and being flanked by Taxi [del]human decorations[/del] I mean supporters, wearing black armbands too-- because Uber has literally murdered the Taxi industry? (as per his totally unbiased report)?
Because yeah.
And hey-- Uber vs. Taxi-- fits in with the theme.
Is it possible for a flamewar to continue forever?
-
-
Indeed. However, I still hope to see progress in this field. I think there's enough combined experience here to identity the conditions necessary for, and create, a flamewar that will not go out.
Also I'd like extend my deepest regards and respect to @Polygeekery for their substantive, nay, seminal, contribution to this field.

I won't be happy until I get my badge.
@boomzilla, has anyone else gotten that badge? Have we ever locked a thread here? Well, outside of trying to mitigate DiscoFuckery?
-
I finally found it on mobile. No one has it yet. But, have we ever locked a thread is still on the table.
-
The only thread I can ever remember being locked around here involved a so-called desktop search system...but it came back in a later topic which remained unlocked.
-
That is a pretty lofty goal to strive for. I don't think I am man enough to climb to that particular pedastal.
-
Well, outside of trying to mitigate DiscoFuckery?
I think there were some duplicates that got locked (and of course One Post/Flags), not sure how that factors in.
Nothing with real prejudice, though. And hey, we could survive the abortion talk, we could survive the furry talk, we could survive the whoosh badge insanity, I think we can take a fox with no bra.
-
The fox with a bra is all yours. Pervert.
-
-
So, uh, here's a an :honorary_degree:, then.
-
-
-
-
-
What are you doing in here? And what happened to your bra?
-
What are you doing in here?
Hunting elephants, obviously.
And what happened to your bra?
I've never had a bra.
-
-
Heh, hadn't heard abut that, no. Would it clarify my earlier statement if I added that the best platform for any politician to adopt is a catafalque?
-
-
I have no problem with Lockheed's part in this; they were simply engaging in good business practices. At least, I hope that was all they were engaging in.
It was the government officials who chose to base a technical and military decision on economic factors that had me scratching my head. Especially since this is the second time the US government has had to bail them out at the behest of precisely those politicians who, in other circumstances, claim to be in favor of lower taxes and smaller government.
If you can actually see a difference between the Dems and the GOP after this, your eyesight really must be very good, 'cos from where I stand, they are the same flavor of self-indulgence with different coloration. Anyone who thinks any politician is out for anyone's interests but their own is a fool.
EDIT: Ooooh, I got a bit caught up in my rhetoric and said something really stupid again, didn't I?
-
There seems to be some disagreement on this point
Judge for yourself:
Personally, I've never seen a more clearly rendered bra on a fox.

Could you survive it again?Could you?

Perhaps it is a bikini top? Regardless, it is supporting breasts, whether real or imagined. It may be a transfox.
-
@boomzilla, has anyone else gotten that badge?
Go look at the damn page for yourself. If I can't be arsed to do my job, what makes you think I'll do yours?

Someone went down to crankytown.

Someone went down to crankytown.
Still recovering from doing my job regarding the logout link. It'll pass.
-
Did you really save my old avatar? Good Lord.
Here's a larger, uncropped version. Personally, it's quite apparent that the shading of the chest ruff and pectoral muscles is what leads to the illusion of a bra in lower resolutions. Now, if you want to see a more clearly rendered bra on a fox, I can provide plenty of examples, though I must consult external sources in order to find some.
This is probably one of the most clearly rendered bras you could find on a fox, being a sharp contrast of a black bra and white fur. However, you could probably find a more clearly rendered bra on a fox if you knew where to look, and took the time to do so.
-
Oh fucking hell, someone else posting furry anime stuff of foxes.
I think the writing under the top one actually says "cox"
Bra-cox.
-
No, it says Fox, it's just a bit difficult to read because of the font choice.
-
Did you really save my old avatar? Good Lord.
No, I had to look it up via Discosearch so I hope you appreciate the effort.
I think the writing under the top one actually says "cox"
It's not supposed to???
No, it says Fox, it's just a bit difficult to read because of the font choice.
Bra-cox, the Wind-breaker!
-
No, I had to look it up via Discosearch so I hope you appreciate the effort.
Oh, goodness, I'm so flattered.
@blakeyrat said:Bra-cox, the Wind-breaker!
Actually, if we're going to be spontaneously adding wind-related epithets to my name, I'd prefer Fox Blackcinder, the Galewarden. Wind-breaker implies a conflict with wind, whereas in most games where magic is involved, I tend to gravitate towards aeromancy.Whoosh granted -abarker

Someone went down to crankytown.
"went to"? You merely went to crankytown. He was born there; he made it his.
The lawn's all crabgrass, too, so I don't know why he feels the need to keep telling kids to get off his lawn. They don't actually want to be on it.

If anything, that's worse. Why does it have toothy ears? I may never sleep again!
Also, it looks like it's got three breasts, not a bra.
