Status: trying to wrap my head around Jenkins builds with Perforce.
This isn't really a build in the code-sense, it's supposed to take an ISO and part of the results of another build, and smash them into a VHD for (eventually) upload to Azure.
Currently this is implemented via powershell script, but I'm unsure of how to ensure the script gets invoked with the right parameters etc.
So, I saved my best-guess config, tagged it to trigger of the nightly build, and am hoping for the best...

Every Jenkins server in the history of the world has begun its life that exact way.

Yup. Now, there's no logs (apparently) of any kind, so I can't even puzzle over the results. Wonderbar.

But, since they seem to put out a software product that stops my controller from working when I go in to games, my first thought is to help by shooting all the devs execution style.
But it worked perfectly for @end! You must be doing something wrong.

Am I supposed to go without handover anything?
-
@Tsaukpaetra In my experience, "Failed to determine" usually means one of the following:
- Network errors
- SVN server lockup/reboot while Jenkins is checking out
- Build slaves ran out of disk space
- IT broke DNS and Jenkins is attempting to check out source code from a network printer on another continent
- Jenkins control server needs a reboot
- Jenkins build slaves need a reboot
- Jenkins developers need a reboot

Well, yeah, that goes without saying. I am always .
In this case, it was probably due to me using a third party PS3 controller. Some work fine, some do not work at all. Then, there is mine, that works until you try to load a game. Then...nothing. Fucked until you reboot.
If you look through their release notes, they managed to put out a public release a while back that killed all Bluetooth controllers completely and they had no idea until it went public.
Maybe @wood is the one who is developing it? It would make sense.

Actually, I think that part is due to having no Build command things, the first part was just getting the workspace checked out.
The problem was, I put the workspace deets in a box called "Streams", when it should have been in "View Mappings" (because Perforce, I guess).
Once I was sure it was getting the right places, it was a bit easier to figure out the powershell command thingy and call that in the workspace. Now I just need to figure if it's wasting space storing the workspace as artifacts...

Toby Faire, they were just trying to emulate Sony's own compatibility policies.

— alyankovicVEVOMy boss has a directive to gather us to watch just such a video. He has thus far delayed pending the purchase of a damned projector to do it with (procurement has been refusing to buy anything that has the word "home theater" associated with it, and we're refusing to accept anything less than 1080p)
I have just suggested he use that video instead.

What's different with the
forcednew one ?
-
@TimeBandit
Judging by the googles, it looks like the primary difference is that the Notification Center balloon is now to the far right of the clock, taking up the "premium corner space".I can't say I really ever noticed the change, but there appear to be several UI Purist Programs ('classic' shells) that were negatively impacted because the way the classic shell was hooking into the clock element of the taskbar wound up not handling the change properly, such that if you had a long format for date or time, the clock element would overlap or completely cover the Notification Center balloon
-
That's in an hour. That doesn't look good to me.
Wait, why is the reschedule radio button disabled?
Oh no!
Thi- this is it, isn't it?
After all those years, this is my last hour on Earth with clock in the lower right corner.
Changing the NTP server so Windows would set the correct time. Missing the action center and clicking volume control instead.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to restart.
