@stillwater Maybe, whatever. I don't read a long TOS anyway.
But Facebook's TOS could be just "all your data are belong to us", and that would say exactly the same as their current one.
If we're talking facebook then I doubt anything s gonna stop them from being assholes.

My phone battery drains sometimes when I plug in the charger. I don't even.

Unless it's the original charger that was boxed together with the phone
It is. Come to think of it, I've never bought replacement chargers in my entire life for any of the phones I've used.
-
RE: The Official Status Thread
@gąska The one I have is a charger that is advertised as "Fast-charging". Also I am suspicious my phone drains battery faster than the charger charging the fucking phone, even when the phone does not have background apps running. Maybe the phone is TRWTF. Either ways I have not investigated this matter
@gąska said in The Official Status Thread:
I don't know how much human rights you have over there in India, but if I found out that the charger is too weak to power the phone, I'd demand refund for the entire thing.
In India, they would probably give you a sucky replacement that you again have to replace. Not worth the time and money wasted.

TRUE.
@gąska said in I had nooo idea. Holy shit!:
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the reason they accept to deal with the psychological problems induced by their job is the psychological problems induced by their job.
Are you saying of all the psychological problems that are caused by amazon, one of them might be "I shall CHOOSE to VOLUNTARILY stay even though I KNOW I am getting fucked over" ?

Or the battery is about to explode. I had a phone where the battery got all bloated
Did yours explode? My phone also does this random thing where it is idle all night and goes down maybe 2 to 3 percent through the night. Wake up in the morning and use it for like half an hour and it goes down 40%. What the fuck is up with that? Also the phone behaves normally during the day(after i charge it again) with the same amount of use. All this is freaking me out.

Whats a Linux distro that doesn't have a UI that sucks dick like Ubuntu and relatively stable?
You should probably tell us what exactly you dislike about Ubuntu's UI first. Otherwise, everyone will recommend his favorite GUI whether it's actually good or not.
It has the default orange thingy and when I tried to apply themes something or the other has colors or size that were off or something was overlapping the other. I want something clean out of the box. It's a subjective thing so I'm not articulating it really well. I like the Mac UI and would probably want something like that.

I am, for important infrastructure at a major, international organization. It's working quite well.
If you don't mind me asking. Are you on .NET Core 1.x or 2.x? If it's the latter how do you manage updates and patches without messing up things?

You get a form with a bunch of fields under different sections and a bunch of checkboxes next to each section heading with no caption next to it. If you are having a hard time imagining this, think of a normal form but with a bunch of caption-less checkboxes sprinkled here and there. There is another document that you are supposed to read before you fill in the form that says "There are a bunch of checkboxes on the form don't check them or you are fucked". Very weird. Okay moving on.
Spambot protection maybe?
It is not. It is just a few mysterious boxes some of which need to be checked sometimes.

@Unperverted-Vixen make sure the shoulder straps are wide whatever backpack you're getting. I second @blakeyrat 's recommendation. I've had a swissgear that I used for the last three years which I've now passed on to my cousin. Built real well.

@anonymous234 I did not know this was a huge fucking problem. Maybe not for me cos I stopped wearing shoes with laces when I was like 13 because they got undone like 25 times a day. It was all shoes without laces or velcro for that matter. Even strapping the velcro together and then off seems like work. I can only imagine what people with shoelaces are going through.

@stillwater It's about two years between "major" point releases (4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8). Hardly encroaching on Angular's whiplash-inducing schedule.
I'm talking about .NET Core. The release cycle is equally whiplash inducing. I'm waiting for .NET Core to catch up with regular .NET and we'll have .NET Core 4.2, .NET 5.2 and .NET Standard 3.4 or whatever and the shit's gonna really hit the fan in a few years.

Yeah; he screamed at me for being rich buying Bitcoin when the price was $140ish without ever bothering to ask how much Bitcoin I bought. (Hint: I'm not rich.)
Even if I had been rich, I'm not sure why he was so angry about it.
Yup. Searching for lucas1 topics and this was on top. He just goes straight into I'm-angry-at-people mode right away. Hilarious thread nonetheless. I'm waiting for the follow up thread where he apologizes like he always does once he's sober.
