Is that anything like Airbnb?
BNB Chain-based
I'd be surprised if there aren't a few B&Bs whose businesses are based on chains (and whips, handcuffs, etc.), but that's a different thread.

@Carnage there's a chance she'll find it less objectionable during "these days".

@topspin my understanding is that the emojis here are a superset of Unicode. I mean, why else would there be or ? (With six color variations each, even. would not let that happen.)

The executive told a panel of CNBC anchors that their outlet spends too much time covering cryptocurrencies, although he acknowledged that the underlying blockchain technology likely has useful applications. And I'm sure that any day now someone will think one up!

Supply-chain provenance, if anybody really hates being backdoored. The military says they hate it, but their deployments say yes yes.

This supply-chain stuff sounds nice in theory but it lacks any incentive that would keep people from entering the same BS on the blockchain they'd enter in any other database you might try to use for the purpose.
Unless you're talking hard-core SM notions of ass ownership again

Supply-chain provenance
In the sense that a chain of signed commits, like git, is a block-chain, maybe. But then that's not something you can hype up for huge profits.
I doubt that's what the IBM weenies are trying to sell you when they say "omg block-chain", and I still don't see any problems they propose to solve.

Nope, love hotels are not brothels. You're only renting the room, the partner isn't part of the deal. You have to bring your own.

there's no inherent reason why currency has to be directly controlled by the government
In practice, it never really is. Either because the citizen is permitted to use foreign currency, or because they aren't, but will do so anyway.

Years ago, a friend was looking for space to rent for a publicly-available rehearsal room, and I tagged along.
Back in those days, there were still a bunch of post-industrial properties scattered around Warsaw (most of 'em have since been torn down and built over), and they were the natural habitat for this sort of thing. We were looking at one such place, and chatting with the administrator about the details and how to structure the lease, given that the plan was to essentially rent out the adapted space to the public.
Now, technically, the terms of the lease (which, given that it was prolly at least partially a state-owned property, came down from heights inaccessible to even the guy we were talking with) prohibited sub-rentals. However, it was noted that this almost certainly didn't apply to my friend's business, because the "sub-rental" would be on an hourly basis... which suggests a completely different sort of business.

@DogsB Think of it as a specialized hotel that has published rates for one or two hour stays. And usually for overnight also, in case you're too tired to go home afterwards.
Japan has a history of dense building and thin walls, so it made sense to make purpose-built spaces for trying to make that second or third child. And since these specialized spaces have all kinds of marital aids on offer, you don't have to worry about relatives running into those at home either.
So, you see, it's not only making money off horny teenagers that have too many relatives at home for doing their tryst in peace.

@izzion I used to read manga. It's part of their dating culture. Or at least part of their pop culture that depicts their dating culture; a trip to a love hotel tends to be the last stop before the wedding in romance mangas.
Having its own emoji kinda confirms that view.

Axios reported that four separate crypto marketplaces will stop honouring artist royalties, a worrying trend that impacts those who first introduced blockchain into the cultural consciousness.
[...]
Even though NFT creator fees are contracts, blockchain code cannot actually enforce token transfer stipulations, rendering those contracts essentially voluntary by design. From an operational perspective, royalties were never guaranteed on the blockchain; instead, the documentation of each NFT only requests a royalty, a procedure that platforms have previously honoured in more favourable market conditions. It's immutable blockchain, they said!
Pacta servanda sunt, they said!
