I wonder how many gigabytes we could free in this forum's storage server if we did deduplication of uploaded images.
Actually, that would be an interesting side project. Visually hash the pictures, run some image diff algorithm on matching hashes, generate a list of found duplicates for manual review, replace files with symlinks... Should be doable.
As of February 21st the gzipped ball of all uploads was ~45G.

Guy ahead of me at the grocery checkout last night with four shopping carts full of toilet paper: "I buy all the TP off the shelves because there's going to be a shortage."
Me: "You have that backwards. There's going to be a shortage because you buy all the TP off the shelves."
I've decided that trying to be part of the solution just makes you frustrated and angry. Much more fun to be part of the problem.

To be fair...ish...I just copied the raw image links. I actually keep a text file open with stuff I expect to reuse a lot. Such as, to pull one more or less at random...

From IMDb:
Norbury Ackland is an actor, known for The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021). See full bio
That one movie is the only credit for Norbury Ackland, and the only additional information in the "full bio" is that his father is "Adam Ackland". There is nothing in the IMDb to indicate that Norbury Ackland is in fact a kitten.

The notion of the 10X developer crossed my mind today, unwittingly.
Probably a troubling notion to spherical-dev style project planning already, yeah? The real factor is even scarier, though - the ROI and CoO easily work out to a 1000X or better improvement, for senior vs green devs.

Why are shower chairs generally used only by the elderly and disabled?
We got one because of my broken ankle and we also have a hook for the shower head to be lower so my daughter can reach it.
We are not moving the chair out of the bathroom when I don't need it. It is very relaxing to be able to sit, with the shower head at about head level.
No more standing on one leg to wash feet either. Easier on my back if decide to shave my legs.
I see no downside for everyone to have them.

You need a bigger shower if you want to fit two people and their respective chair(s).

The sitting in the bath is not very comfortable, trying to keep everything submerged is impossible, and the water cools too fast.
And right now, I don't think I could get out of a bathtub without significant help.

And as shower people will gladly point out, if you take a bath you're basically sitting in a pool of your own filth.
-

That depends on the size of the bath. (But a large bath is a lot more expensive.)

@Gribnit There's a fee for the baths in Bath. I guess it helps with the maintenance given that they get quite a lot of visitors (being Roman baths fed from a hot spring).

BT;DT. No t-shirt, but pictures. And at least one souvenir (from the town, not the baths themselves, but maybe a book or something from the baths; I don't remember). Unfortunately, the souvenir is specifically about our wedding/honeymoon, which is a rather less valuable memory now than it was at the time.

My pragma for whether this is a problem, is whether or not it is all my own filth. If it's not, a shower is more indicated. If it pretty much is, a bath is probably fine. If it was originally all my own, but no longer seems to be such, shower comes back up. Simple as a teetertotter.

My ankle has healed enough I can probably manage some effective throws if required and I managed my last shower solo. Progress!
IDGAF, I'm keeping my shower chair.
