The Microsoft employee ?
Received an invitation to an event in an Office365 Group I'm part of.
The email address is the Office365 group, sent automagically by Office365 when the event was created.
It may surprise you, but Office365 isn't open source but it failed anyway

Yes, it is indeed a CAT-5 of 8 tails.

@hungrier that's actually a common folk remedy for lots of things. Diluted of course.

Livestream the result, if possible.

And don't forget the spoonful of liquid soap.
-
@benjamin-hall This wasn't that, it was a question about homemade SodaStream syrups.
But anyway he's talking about this: Drinking vinegar, which is somewhat less WTFy than my initial reaction when I first read it.
-
@hungrier ah. Context matters. On many levels.

Oh...

They're just getting ahead of the curve, for when the iFramely caliphate takes over its next country.

@rhywden I think there's some way to add the account using the Gmail app? Unsure. It's not like I actually need all of Inbox's features with my @8chan.co account or anything. Gmail accounts are still the best, just not the actual interface.
Not that I found, no. You can have multiple GMail accounts. But no Imap.
The gmail app on my phone allows it (v7.11.5.176568039) - I have it hooked up to 2 imap accts and gmail accts (one being work).
Yes, nobody's debating that. The Gmail app lets you add as many IMAP and POP3 accounts as you want. However, the Inbox app only lets you use Gmail accounts, whether @gmail.com or Google Apps for Whatever.
Ah - I somehow missed that... I thought people were saying gmail couldn't... carry on...

It must be a day ending in "Y", because Chrome has once again changed the status of being able to search Wikipedia in the address bar. Current status: Can't.
Status for searching Youtube this way: Can.
I know I'm 2 months late to this discussion but have you tried right-clicking the address bar and clicking
Edit search engines...
?This super-discoverable menu item will then open the following page where you can add a search keyword and URL:
While this Chrome profile is empty for testing, I have another profile where I can press Ctrl+L
jira
Tab<issue code>
Enter by using a custom search keyword.

Math is hard
-
@jbert It's in there, and was there at the time. The problem is that Chrome wants to prioritize whatever's in my recent history over my search keywords, and at that time decided that
wiki.apache.org
must be what I mean when I typew
,wi
,wik
, orwiki
in the address bar.

Pop quiz. What is the result of the following query in T-SQL:
select ISDATE('2013-12-006')
I recently answered a question on another software product's boards about its IS_DATE function, where the OP was trying to check a string against several possible formats using IS_DATE(str, format) and then converting to a date with the winning format. But IS_DATE was returning
true
on the wrong format, stuffing up his results.I checked the help file's page for IS_DATE and found that it was documented that if you provide a format string that doesn't match the input string in layout, the results of IS_DATE are inconsistent. So IS_DATE('2015-08-27', 'DD/MM/YYYY') might return false, or true, or (even worse) drop the record altogether from further processing.
So I'm basically making a mental note to never use IS_DATE in that product.

Cisco does planned obsolesence.
Exhibit 1: The date picker for setting the date manually goes to 2015. (This model AP was released in 2007.)Exhibit 2: Trying to download the latest firmware is impossible.
And after all that I found out I didn't need to configure an AP for what I needed to do. Oh, well.
Edit: I did find the source code for the latest firmware, so I could compile it myself to update the APs if I find another use for them. Hmm...

Status: Made a loop to move to the next delectable button in an array:
int LastSelectedIndex = SelectedIndex; int RotateDirection = Direction == EDirection::Left ? -1 : 1; for (int newSelectedIndex = SelectedIndex, loops = 0; !SelectButton(newSelectedIndex) || (newSelectedIndex == LastSelectedIndex && loops == 0); newSelectedIndex = newSelectedIndex + RotateDirection + ButtonArray.Num() % ButtonArray.Num()) { if (newSelectedIndex == LastSelectedIndex) loops++; }
I'm not entirely sure I need the
LastSelectedIndex
variable...Edit: And that
ButtonArray.Num()
(which returns the number of elements, natch) is incorrect here...

Not a totally ridiculous premise, I mean you could if you were armed with a copy of the PE format and you were insane but this article isn't concerned with pesky things like the PE format or reality:

Step 4
Type the "exe" file for the program you want to create

The CADT of KDE5 is infuriating. I looked into upgrading from Kubuntu 17.04 to 17.10 to see if some annoying bugs had been fixed. I didn't get around to checking all of them, but for the couple I did, the answer was, "Nope."
Then I discovered a couple of new doosies. First, the system tray mail icon no longer shows a number for how many unread emails are sitting in your inbox. Instead it's just a little black dot (among black lines) that's there in the lower right corner of the envelope icon when there are some unread emails, as opposed to the old blue number that made it somewhat eye catching. I don't know if that was an intentional sabotage of the design or a bug, but it's retarded. I guess I could adjust to this, even though it's dumb.
Bigger problem: Event reminders are broken. This is % a deal breaker. It's fixed in the version that's coming in 18.04 but hasn't been backported yet.
It's almost enough to make me want to agree with blakey.
