Looks like someone gritting their teeth.
-
@boomzilla Except that the emoji looks more like duckface gone wrong.
-
@JBert Emojis are like that.

@Dreikin It's so it got posted twice :P

@RaceProUK to be fair, she was texting in a movie theater. Lawsuit my ass; they should lock her up and throw away the key.
-
@anotherusername While I'm sympathetic to the guy--his date's behavior was definitely obnoxious, and on one level it would be nice to see some sort of recompense, even if it's just a purely symbolic thing like the cost of the ticket--on the other hand, you just have to wonder if he really thought this through. I mean, now his name is out there, attached to this. He's going to have a real difficult time finding other girls to date in the future. Is it really worth it?

@Fox And that's just the beginning !!! !!! !!!

@hungrier Is that @anotherusername?

@hungrier
Couldn't resist

@Boner Ridiculous, unenforceable, and a guaranteed way to piss off both the public and the multinationals.
-
@RaceProUK They're so far ahead in this election I'm pretty sure she's just trolling now.
-
@Boner They're so far ahead I was actually thinking of voting Tory.
I have recently changed my mind, and will revert to my usual strategy of voting for the Liberal Democrats.
-
@hungrier It will be just like the windows phone. It's dead from birth.
-
@RaceProUK I'm in Brighton. So voting Green.
-
@Arantor The Greens aren't running in my constituency. In fact, looking at the BBC's candidate list, there's only Labour, Lib Dem, and Tory candidates.
-
FUCKING GOOD
-
@Arantor HAHAHA.
There are authoritarian ass hats.
-
@lucas1 Caroline Lucas seems to speak a great deal of sense when she speaks.
Besides it's not like they're going to elect anyone else here in Brighton Pavilion.
-
@Arantor No she doesn't. She is a nutcase. She got destroyed by Andrew Neil who isn't a Jeremy Paksman at all.
-
@lucas1 Sorry I spoke, forgot that your opinion was the only one that mattered.
-
@Arantor Did I say anything like that? I just disagreed with you.
-
@lucas1 No, you made it very clear that my opinion was wrong. I'm just going to leave it at that.
-
@Arantor Look I don't want to start an argument, but I simply disagreed with you and I didn't demand anything.
-

A difference of opinion means that, by definition, each of two or more individuals think that at least one of the opinions of the other person or people is wrong. Otherwise you have a different thing... something called "agreement".

Who the fuck is running against them then? We have it bad, sure, but this kind of ideas is generally relegated to the most fringe parties on the scene.

Well, there's the Labour party, which is too busy fighting amongst itself to mount a credible opposition, the Liberal Democrats who haven't got a cat-in-hell's chance of achieving anything meaningful, UKIP who are a spent force, and a bunch of small parties no-one gives a shit about. In other words, business as usual, except Labour's fucking themselves over.

Police are hunting a reveller dressed as a giant penis [...] releasing details of the suspected attacker in the hope it will "jog someone's memory".
I'd hate to meet the person who can see a giant penis smash someone's leg and then forget about it.

He must sure have some serious balls to do that. (MSFW)

@Boner TRWTF is that an Israeli landlord can sue for ~$2k because prospective tenants acted interested but changed their minds before signing anything binding...

I'm glad that means something to someone.

Someone takes pizza really seriously:
With more traditional pizzas also available, such as margarita and Parma ham, such is Yosuke's attention to detail that when the first restaurant opened in Ho Chi Minh City in 2011, he would refuse to accept payment for any pizzas that weren't perfectly round.
And importing key ingredients from Italy, including the flour and tomato sauce, he worried that the imported Italian mozzarella wasn't fresh enough because of the long cargo flight, and the fact he could only get deliveries twice a week.
So Yosuke decided he would make his own. As the cheese didn't exist in Vietnam he couldn't ask anyone locally for help, so instead he learned to make it himself by studying YouTube videos.
Then unhappy with the quality of milk he was able to buy in Vietnam, he bought a farm and his own cows.

Oral contracts are a thing, y'know? Plus, the emoji thing isn't the only piece of evidence the landlord had.

Yeah, it sounds like the remarkable part is just the decision that emoji can carry the same weight as traditional text. Which is to be expected; if the communication happened in a mutually understood (traditional) foreign language it would probably have carried similar weight.
