Also, looking at the wikipedia page, I wonder: why are some letters named after US president?
Coincidentally, it means short.
Why's it got liszt-hands?

Amusingly, the "correlation between hands/feet size and dick size" is so uncommonly used here (or here and now... maybe it was in the past?) that I never remember whether it's supposed to be a positive or negative correlation. Which means that I'm relying entirely on context to interpret it, i.e. I directly translate "I have *** hands" to "I have a big dick" and "he has *** hands" (from his opponents) as "he has a small dick," whatever the *** part is.
The only time this fails me is when I have no idea which side the person saying it is, and nothing helps in the direct context (usually a tiny tweet that barely makes any sense when reading the full thread, and not at all when taking in isolation (inb4: is there any other kind?)).

In Poland, there's a semi-popular belief about height and size correlation that goes like

In Poland, that correlation is usually illustrated as
I thought that was for electromagnetic fields.
In any case, the clarity of this example is stunning.

I'm pretty sure the "he's got tiny hands" joke had nothing at all to do with correlations to dick size and everything to do with making up a random meme because he's vain enough to be upset about such kind of nonsense.

I don't want to discuss politics outside garage, but this really isn't what happened, despite the left wing media's efforts to paint it as such.
-
@Gąska I mean, if Rubio takes the small hands joke and turns it into a penis joke, doesn't mean the original joke was about penis.
-
@Gąska dunno, I always thought of it as an attack on hand vanity vs penis. Unlike many, I haven't seen his penis, how should I know?
-
@topspin the original joke ended with "and you know what they say about men with small hands".

Yes, but that's a bit callous, although we've accepted that the white fish is now tilapia vs cod spelling the whole word is appreciated.

For a limited definition of 'sane' seeing as most of those people probably don't manually update.

Never updating is quite reasonable for an SoC OS with no general-purpose I/O that's then sealed in potting resin.

You forgot option c: that it’s more true than ever.
Difference is that you now need that extra nickel to get yourself a better computer so that you can run Windows (11). Linux (ok, guess it's not a proper Unix, but whatever) can be made to run on pretty much everything, no need to upgrade.

Hey, now! Linux dropped support for 386 back in 2012, and 486 is de facto out of support by now too.
-
@acrow What was the last version of Windows that ran on an 486? Windows 98? Windows ME states that it requires a Pentium (so 586) or better...
-
@cvi What was the last computer any of us had that wasn't 64bit?
I don't mean to refute Linuxens long support, compared to Windows. Just saying, for anyone that pre-686 actually matters anymore (historians, museums, government agencies), isn't so long after all.
-
@acrow And, just to clarify, that's still part of the joke. Governments will let Windows 3.11 out of their cold, dead hands after a minimum of 3 consecutive revolutions and a total nuclear annihilation.
-
@acrow said in WTF is happening with Windows 10? And nothing else:

My laptop sitting in the next room has a 32-bit Centrino Duo. Last time I used it was earlier this year, as a media player connected to a non-unnecessarily-smart TV. It's hardly a daily driver.
This computer, going on 14 years of age, is already 64-bit.
