FWP: My daughter left a crayon mark on my monitor. I am not sure how to clean it up.
Hopefully it didn't get into the monitor (due to heat melting).
Quick google suggest slathering it with mayonnaise () and wiping it up.

@Karla Happens around the 5th beer of the day.
You have crayon on your monitor?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Ugg, I hate mayo. Maybe it has to do with fat dissolving the wax?
I googled myself:
http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2009/09/how-to-get-crayon-marks-off-your-tv-screen/
Asked my husband if we have any WD40, "Yeah, why?"
Explained and he suggested why don't you use a baby wipe. Tried it and it worked!
I no longer have that FWP.

Though I cannot have any kind of coke with a drink...I'd never go to sleep when I get home.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Filed under: Though Adderall pairs nicely with vodka tonic.

FWP: I received a package today (Sunday) of something I ordered yesterday. I didn't fit and if I return it, I have to pay shipping.
I kept it, figuring it will fit eventually. And bought the next size up.

You know you've been spending too much time on TDWTF when...
Discourse keeps telling me I have new topics at the bottom of each page, but when I go to /new it says You have no new topics.

@Jaloopa said in The Official First World Problems Thread™:
Yes. Especially when it annoys that sort of person.
"Political correctness gone mad. I can't even say 'black paint' any more. I have to say 'Jamal, please paint my fence'"
On a more serious note, I was in a class and the teacher asked us to describe the sensation of guilt. I compared it to a "black cloud." A woman in the class made it clear that she had absolutely no doubt that it was a racist statement.

Ah, but you wear blindfolds, there is no bottom!

My wife has covered the hotel pillow with tissues she brought from home to ensure she doesn't get a skin disease from contact with it.
Is that a FWP? Seems like something I'd worry about (if at all) more in a third-world country.
I got impetigo from renting a room at a boarding house for a week.

I had that as a kid. It was awful.

Eh...it was most definitely 80s before it was 90s.
'yo mama' and baseball caps.
I can't say definitively how big yo mama jokes were in the 80s, but baseball caps fit.
Baseball caps certainly weren't new: the only thing that changed was who was wearing them and whether they knew what the bill was for.

Does this go here or in the Funny Stuff thread?
-
@Karla Definitely here.
Also, that the only way (on an iPhone, at least) that I've seen to move forward past that is to force-quit the app and relaunch it. Because a retry button would have broken
NiantecAlphabet's budget on the app.
-
@izzion Doesn't swiping down trigger a refresh? That's what I'd expect based on how many apps work on my phone. (Note: not installing this thing to find out.)
-
@dkf No. There's no interaction once you hit that screen.

@Yamikuronue Oh. That's

FWP: I can't consistently connect to free Wi-Fi in the subway for my entire commute. In some stations data connects better than Wi-Fi.
Also, my home station doesn't yet have Wi-Fi.
-
There aren't many VR applications that support use while supine.
I want to play all the things without getting out of bed.
Filed under: I've only found one, actually, but it's Virtual Desktop: the app I use more than any other.

I believe I've complained about this before, but... when I turn off my phone's auto-rotation it locks in portrait mode rather than current mode, so I can't read in landscape mode while lying down with my face to the side.

Get a better ROM. You're suffering needlessly!

Yes. Best is one that says "rotate/portrait/landscape" so you can pick the mode you want.

FWP: my wife and I are on the last episode of "Foyle's war" so now we have to find another series to binge-watch.

@Mikael_Svahnberg, house of cards? person of interest? mr robot?

Oh, yuck. I looked for this one for years on the advice that it was the closest thing to Star Trek after TOS went away and before the movies came out.
Better answer: Earth-2. Longer-commitment answer: Eureka.

Looked for it why? Needed an ipecac?
It's quite possibly the worst science fiction series ever made. I'd rather watch every episode of Homeboys From Outer Space in a row than one episode of The Starlost.
(Actually that's not true, but only because I'm a freak who likes terrible shows as much as good ones.)

Most apps will not rotate into the upside-down position.

@blakeyrat I was wondering if you would like to have sex?

FWP To post in the Guacamole thread or the Inflamed Trollery thread.

@bb36e The train has AC and it is the only balance of efficient and cost way home.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was illegal in NYC.
-
@Karla Not (necessarily) real spikes. Just something that says "stay back a bit from the maybe crazy lady."
Like a headcrab hat or something.

I will see what I can muster up from past Halloweens and Comic-cons (not me of course).
Though, this IS NYC. Few things will get more than a second look.

If you manage to get a seat with no neighbour, just smile at anybody who approaches and gesture them to sit down. Nothing crazier than someone who wants to be near others on a train

That just might work! Though the whole point of my dilemma is a crowded training standing room only where people are bound to be too close to me for my comfort.
I don't mind standing by the doors where I get on. The doors on that side only open 1 time again before my stop if I take the express.
