Inconceivable!

That makes me think of the latest D-Con commercial...

@error Not sure what the point of the details tag is when defaulted to open...
I'll count it as a TIL.

Perhaps it works like a toggle and you should change the state of the curtains?
Or paint a picture of the curtains if you are artistically inclined.

I wouldn't call it market research, I would call it marketing. See, they are not trying to sell honey to bears. They can, however, now say “our anzer honey is the best—verified by bear”, “bears recommend”, “approved by bears” and such :)
-
@HardwareGeek said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:
I like how they specifically mention they were double-blind trials.
-
@Zecc Even if we assume that the Big Boy can't read wouldn't double blind imply that neither bear nor experimenter know which plate is which honey kind. With the names clearly written that would only work if the experimenter is illiterate.
-
@obeselymorbid Or the assistant was literally blind...

@JBert
Or a badger

I for one am looking at the labels in the photo and I can't read them!
-
@Zecc These particular labels in Turkish bore surprisingly much resemblance to languages I know to conclude that the first one is chestnut, the second - cherry, the third one is the best Anzer one the post was talking about. I guessed the last one to be the flower honey and confirmed that with Google Translate.

-
@Zecc Nope thread is
-
@Bulb You know you've been spending too much time on TDWTF when you can predict how someone else will respond to one of your posts word for word.

Ed: Making excuses for the sorry state of the English language since 1979.
Oh, the English language has been in a sorry state since long before that.
Filed under: Proving your point.
Personally I blame the qwerty keyboard layout for hastening its demise. People nowadays don't even know what an em dash is. It's 1984 come to life. You can't express it if its not in the layout.
Alt0151 I have this one memorized; I use it a lot. (If anyone cares, Alt0150 for an en dash, which is the correct symbol to separate numbers in a range, "the winter of 2019–2020".) </>
Compose--- for — and Compose--. for – in wincompose.
Or, since we're using browsers that recognize HTML,
\—
and\–
work perfectly well, too.Edit: And if you need it elsewhere, just type it into the composer and copy from the preview section.

@DogsB I hope that it's really the father going all (in a, uh, rather cringy way but we don't know all details (thankfully...), maybe there is some in-joke here), rather than really "forgetting" about those things (both the Amazon accounts and what he asked Alexa to remind him).

They don't make "when are we gonna get grandchildren" like they used to

That wasn't an extrapolation, that was a recursion depth error. But users wouldn't see that.
