MondayFridayedit: Fixed.

Before Interview:
Recruiter - "They don't want a pure Sitecore dev, just someone that has a little bit of experience".
Me - "Sweet, that is great because I haven't used it in almost a year."
During Interview:
Interviewer - "How do you do this really specific task in sitecore that would usually need the documentation know how to do?".

Do we have a thread about the Dirty Cow linux exploit yet?
-
@LB_ Don't think so.

Status: Attempting to fix RestSharp so I can use RSA-SHA1 OAuth (because JIRA).
My vote of confidence.
Well lets try it anyways and see what's up...
... Um.... That's clearly there....
WTF am I missing here? (or rather, WTF is the runtime missing here?)

Status: wife's out of town for about a week and a half (she left on Monday). I will end up eating packaged ramen at some point, but it's not going to be tonight!
(actually, I like packaged ramen, but I add spices to it, and a couple of eggs)

and some cheese!
-
@Tsaukpaetra Do you have another copy of RestSharp installed in GAC? If yes, is that the same version?
If a library exists both in the current folder and the GAC, the copy inside GAC is preferred.

Eating it without cooking it is a nice cracker-like snack.

You're not supposed to be in there while it's cleaning!

Status: So apparently I'm getting some karmic revenge from something, since the same day I post about why I dislike spiders and insects, I find a creepy crawly motherfucker with dozens of legs crawling up my bedroom wall, and before I can do anything about it, it decides to fall off behind my bedside table and disappears.
Guess I'm not getting much good sleep tonight.

Afaict no, but I'll check. It shouldn't be there anyways, unless NuGet is doing weird things. Either way, both the one I downloaded from GitHub and NuGet should theoretically be the same (signing notwithstanding) and just in case I increased the build version number.

Status: Umm I thought we fixed this bug...

You realize it doesn't come by itself?
At least not without issuing command to your IoT coffeemaker and logistic belt.

In my case, I routed myself past a dispensing facility on the way into work.

Try cream instead. Or maybe salted caramel if you like the flavour

Yes, but £1 for a reasonable-sized filter coffee is not that bad an offer.

was that before or after it came?

@cvi
Well, you shouldn't have clearly instructed Windows 10 it was OK to reboot. Because everyone knows it doesn't reboot unless you specifically tell it to.
-
@izzion I did boot the machine myself, but only because it had managed to fully drain its battery over night. Not sure what's going on. Maybe this was some misguided attempt by Windows to get me to reboot it?

Yesterday: tried to read a book, took 1.5 hours to read and comprehend 5 words. took a nap, woke up 8 hours later. was vocally coherent for...... about an hour total. thank the goddess i called out sick.
Today: back at the office. brain functional but filled with annoyed bees (courtesy of @Kaelas no doubt), and according to one of my coworkers: "FUDK, but you look like shit warmed over!"
..... well damn.

Status: I bought Xenoverse 2 like a month ago. It apparently came out on console two days ago, and will be out on PC tomorrow; mine says it will unlock in 8 or so hours.
I don't even.
Whatever, I'm going to be the best human ever.

I kind of want to make my avatar an animated gif that does something once every five minutes or so.

Status: A bank with a sense of humor???
While trying to load my bank's home page, I observed the following status indications from Chrome:
Waiting for dull.somebank.com
and
Waiting for boss.somebank.com
At least the first one is probably pretty accurate.
-
@HardwareGeek
I would give the developer a WTDWTF if it turned out the six framework libraries that were loaded before those requests came from the domains:all.somebank.com work.somebank.com no.somebank.com play.somebank.com makes.somebank.com jack.somebank.com
-
@CarrieVS said in The Official Status Thread:
Burndown:

Ah yes. Because all bugs will take a constant time to fix. And no new ones ever appear. And developers can work at the same level of activity constantly. Too bad bugs (and developers) don't subscribe to a manager's view of the world...
-
@dcon Bugs aren't tracked on this. This is planned new features/enhancements. And no-one expects it to be a perfect line, but this week's been impressively off-track even for us, depsite the fact that until the weekend we were for once more or less close on target.
-
@CarrieVS Ah. Here, when we're talking about burndown, we're talking about working thru the back log of bugs...
-
So anyone else play much Civ6 yet?
I had a lot of fun founding the new religion Heresy, and then using the Inquisition to Remove Heresy, displayed as
+150 Heresy
.
-
-
@dcon For us it's our sprint burndown of new development. Although bugs are a factor since bugs found in testing (as opposed to live issues which can just stay there until we get round to them) usually have to be fixed as they're found, which takes us away from planned dev work.

It's obviously going to cleanup all 3.99TB of data... It's still running cleanup on the "Windows Update Cleanup" part. Not sure I trust this VM anymore (it's had some other issues...)

I've seen something about something like this and the explanation was that Windows doesn't yet really understand the idea of hard links to files, though it supports them. Basically, there's duplicated references to the same physical files, but Windows calculates them as different files instead of recognizing and filtering the duplicates.

STATUS: Just tried a ginger candy again, to see if I might enjoy it this time.
Conclusion: Nope. Still awful. I spit it out and threw it away.
Also, first status! Woot, woot!

Turns out that the main project was referencing the NuGet package, which somehow fucked the references in The referenced DLL. Once I took that Out of was hunky dory.
Status: what's the difference between the two lines:
"plugins/servelet/oauth/access-tokens" "plugins/servelet/oauth/access-token"
Give up?
One requests an oauth token, the other invalidates it. I'll let you guess which is which.

Status: Windows 10 Anniversary Update on my home desktop. I forgot how long "this will take a while" actually took, as I'm at nearly an hour since telling it to restart and install.
