Status: sort of in an 'eye of the storm' situation. We have a deadline for deployment to UAT and an impending release, but everything I need to do or can do towards it is either done or waiting on someone else to do something else first. We deliberately left the dev team's workload light this sprint so we could focus on fixing defects but none of my code has had any.
I was going to help the other guys on the other project (shinies) but the guy in charge of that who was going to assign me something to do left for the week about fifteen minutes before I got done with all the little loose ends of stuff for this project which took priority.
It's Friday afternoon and I have nothing to do and my brain's going fuzzy from lack of stimulation. The company allows flextime so the sensible thing to do would be to go home early and make up the extra hour next week. But I'm a contractor and my actual employer requires me to supply them with 40 billable hours each and every week, so I can't carry flex balances over weekends.
So I'm messing around on here and in order to try and look busy I'm going to have another go at trying to put a gnu Terry Pratchett header in one of our things, though I doubt I'll dare leave it in for code review.
