@sloosecannon FWIW, it looks like it's not a badly designed course. It's some kind of "smart learning" thing, so it judges how well you know the material and directs you to read it.

We did not find a matching account YET... but you could create one for a LOW, LOW PRICE of $39.95!

I'm not sure why that particular one is so important. I mean, it was just the second appearance of The Mole Man, and really, he was such a lame villain that he was already played out by the end of first issue.

@Maciejasjmj It's better than having all applications have access to all filesystems and all other applications with global file permissions and two levels of application permissions. Unless you want to meticulously create multiple user accounts with different permissions and run each application as a different user.

It's because it was the last one that @Lorne-Kates liked, because after that they changed the... err... uh... main character's icon? Yeah, that's it!

I think, MISTER, you missed a FANTASTIC bit of humor.
You just didn't understand THE THING @ScholRLEA was getting at.
It's only HUMAN to get some jokes, and force the word TORCH into others.

Status: Giving up on making a TAS for Link's Crossbow Training (a Wii Game), because desync is fscking terrible, even on the latest Dolphin.
Anyone who wants to give the recording a try, here are the Dolphin input recordings:
RZPE01_Link_s Crossbow Training TAS tries.7z
The first seems to desync at the 10 minute mark, the second at about five minutes in. The recordings are ~45 minutes each.

My laundry washing machine has decided that, no matter what, if it's supposed to automatically advance to a spin cycle, it's going to detect a balance issue and shut down.
If set on "Just do a spin cycle for me" mode, it works 100% of the time.
Which means that doing laundry is now an arduous process.
Fucking computerized bullshit. I should just switch to a front load. Because "out of balance" ain't a thing on those, and the vertical agitator thing wears my clothes out because I can't be arsed to load the machine carefully.

@Weng BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
My dryer (which is NOT matching but has a similar purchase date) now makes the "nylon gear with stripped teeth" noise while running. Fantastic. They could not have engineered them to fail synchronously with this much precision.

some cells that contain numbers are coming over formatted as text.
I hate people who insist at reviewing a computer-processed file in Excel and then complaining about leading zeroes being missing. They're not! Excel is lying to you!
I hate people who insist at editing a computer-processed file in Excel and then complaining about the edited files cannot be imported. The date format be used in CVS can change. When your Excel stores date in "D/M/YY" and your server tried to read it as "M/D/YY" and throw it back to you, it is your problem.
P.S.: I wonder who made the decision to use Windows locale setting when try to save a file in CVS format. Even if the file is being edited so there is no "original format", you should alway try to save it with YYYY first variant where most software with TryParse() like function know how to deal with it correctly.
-
@cheong see, that's what happens because people deny the ONE TRUE FORMAT
Honestly human race, do try to keep up...

Status: Good news: I beat that Digimon game. Bad news: None of the DLC things showed up, so I guess I'll need to look into that, in which case things about it may get posted more :D
Other Status: I logged into my PC this morning, and noticed that all three of my monitors' backgrounds were completely different colors, despite them all being set to a single solid color. So I spent time calibrating them back into line. Now everything is perfect.

Anyone know of a tool provides a GUI over the process of

Got an email from a recruiter. This was surprising because the spam filter usually picks the up. they also left in the cc addresses and I'm still at a loss as to what a "pig Latin" scripting language is.

@JazzyJosh Jetbrains IDEs have a nice way to organize that, they let you work with different changesets and commit them one by one

i know we messed up with the branches, but could you at least get your shit togheter and show me the actual history of the migrations you've runned?
i know you have it, don't make me go speluking into the DB

@Jarry I mean, if I wanted to do the whole
commit, reset HEAD~1, work, commit, checkout <commit-ish>, rebase
workflow I could do that with SourceTree without much difficulty, but that is so much :effort:

@JazzyJosh give it a try. they're free for 30 days, and it may work the way you want
(admitedly, i don't fully understand why would you do that, but that's my problem :P )

Status: Bought a new 3ds. It's on a version that's downgradable so I could install custom firmware.
That being said, there's a step in the downgrade where if you put it in sleep mode, it unrecoverably bricks the device.
I mean, it's nice having total control over a device, but I think I'll just stick with the Ocarina of Time vulnerability for now. At least until I've gone over the steps like 10 times.

There's a shortage of transfusion blood in Serbian medical system.
Solution?
If you are about to have an operation where you might be given blood, you have to organize someone to donate blood into the system beforehand. A friend, family member, whomever.
Don't know anyone that fits the bill? Enjoy dying from blood loss during your operation.
