@Zenith These people are ninnies.
This agent tells me:
- I was sent a CSV and TAB file.
- Data for only the partial year is available, but not in PDF.
That first statement isn't true either way you read it. I wasn't sent two files and one file cannot be in both formats. Further, no, the XLSX contained the full year, so not just the partial year is available. If this ninny is going from the web interface, like I did, how the fuck is PDF not available? It's right there in the dropdownlist with CSV and TAB!

Check your contract. You're paying for up to 75 Mbps down. And 18.35 < 75, so there's nothing you can complain about
Oh, then I have reason to complain. Mine says upto 16Mbps download, upto 1 Mbps upload.
Normally, I get 17.6 Mbps download, and 1.1 Mbps upload. What a bad provider!

Status: Listening to discussions at work. Talk about the task at hand: 10%. Talk about other stuff: 90%. So I have got to listen to people talking about exciting stuff like: Antivirus software. Antivaxxers, conspiracy theories and the US presidential election. Who gets which waifu from Pokémon Sword & Shield. Drivers license. Calling someone to wish a happy birthday ("Is it your birthday today?" "I don't know. Maybe?") Shitty snow plowing.

I'm sure they can slow down your download speed to lower the ratio if you ask nicely

I don't like how you're using the jcr
Node
interface here, try to keep it as aResource
.
OK, but theResource
interface is read-only. I need to modify it. What's the API to modify aResource
directly?
I don't know. Figure something out. That's your job.

I was hired in February. I have spent about a month at work and... Many months not, because diabetes makes me high risk

Super passive aggressive, I like it. Fitting, since the same guy harped on my vague commit message earlier.

@error I just love those "I hate the way you did it and want it done differently but have no idea how" demands.

Bring me a rock...
-
@error I knew I was right to search that phrase! I should keep a list of these specific shades of "my manager is stupid."
The variant I see more of lately is where even the desired result is unknown. The garden variety faded into the distance when I was pushed out of development. But the two years I bounced between bad development jobs/contracts, that was it, day in and day out.

@Tsaukpaetra That's partly why I stopped visiting fic communities. Overwhelmingly two types of interactions there - sqeeee pure liquid sugar squeeee and surreal mental contortionism. Coupled with Sturgeon's Law squared regarding the content, it didn't seem worth it anymore.

@Tsaukpaetra your reminding me of Twitter users what? Please use complete sentences.

Status: Something tells me the system this drive was plugged into did not use TRIM....

Status: Imaging the drive because just in case, and looking up how to TRIM on Linux...
The FS was corrupt apparently, which is fun considering it has like four files (one of them being a disk image for a VM). Hopefully nothing bad got broke, but there were only a dozen bitmap errors and broken blocks (the log disappeared immediately after the above screen popped up so...).
Apparently the heat transfer pad was not positioned correctly or was insufficient? Who knows...

I was pondering an NVMe extender cable to move the drive closer to the fan. There's not a lot of room though...
-
So in addition to the other existing problems, you'll add potential problems with the NVMe extender cable?

Each band-aid deserves three others to help hold the first down!

@sloosecannon Well, it says they're available. Whether they actually have them, . But it let me place the order. Bought some cable management stuff, too, so I can get a multitude of wires under my desk instead of on the top.

Just a quick email to let you know your package has shipped and will be delivered to the address listed below.
Please note that the actual ship time begins once the package has been received at Federal Express.
"Shipped" — i.e., they've created a label in the computer and sent the info to FedEx, they may have printed a physical label, there might or might not be a box to stick the label on, but they certainly haven't handed the box to FedEx on Sunday afternoon.
But at least the item in question is in the box (or will be, when their box-packing people will be in the warehouse during normal business hours tomorrow).
