There's a lot of things NodeBB just can't seem to do. Searching without DoS yourself is apparently "too hard".
Also too hard: counting.

Here's a tip ( ) Ever since blakey started that "cite your shit" thing I've been going out of my way not to call him stupid, because I knew he's a liar. If I ever did it, it was an accident. I wasn't going to actually mention it, though.
I mean, it's not as if 3/4 of his schtick isn't to deliberately start a fight, preferably between other people, and yet you walked right into it, and then so did I.
-
He can try. Sometimes I bookmark posts for just such an occasion. I'm pretty sure I've still got a link to the one where I said I was smart.

FINALLY! OMG ROM makers have been hacking this in since forever!
Does it do it by App as well, or just system?
-
@Tsaukpaetra system-wide unfortunately. But it appears it can be overridden by app devs

Well, in any case it's nice for Google to start cherry-picking from the devs and making things official features.

Having had the good fortune never to have used it, I have only a vague notion of its reputation on which to base a judgment of its WTF. However, the failure to fulfill the requisite TDWTF meme was clear.

It's not being used, I discovered this while sweeping the archives as we clear old stuff out.

Your device is throwing weird errors. The Windows API is just showing their translation. Not Microsoft's fault they reused error codes that aren't right.

I started experiencing weird audio stuttering in my bluetooth headset. It only happened occasionally, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Just enough to be mildly annoying and to make it impossible to hear what is being said.
No problem, I had a backup pair...that also suddenly started exhibiting the same symptoms. Then I noticed my bluetooth mouse cursor would stutter at the same time as the audio, even though the video was fine. Unpair/repair didn't fix it. Maybe it's the drivers? I updated my bluetooth drivers and audio drivers, but the problem persisted. Google searching yields nothing of use. The distance from my machine didn't seem to matter either. I hadn't introduced new electronics into my environment.
Well, I've been meaning to reformat for a while now to get rid of the Visual Studio components whose uninstallers I bricked by uninstalling things in the wrong order. So I used Windows 10's "Reset This PC" feature. It worked, but all of the manufacturer bloatware came back. So, I just clean installed (which I should have done when I first got the computer, not sure why I didn't) and manually installed the necessary drivers for my system.
The problem appears to be gone. For now. Funny, I think the problem started after the Anniversary update. Leave it to an OS upgrade to cause an obscure and mysterious issue that is hard to eliminate. Oh well, I'd probably have been too lazy to reformat otherwise.
EDIT: Nope!! The issue is still present. Ugh.

Recently: "We need x feature ready yesterday for government reporting!" Get report finished, give to customer, customer submits, they get a result back "Accepted, but with data mismatch errors" that are the customer's fault, not mine. I get the "submit corrections" functionality implemented, offer it to the customer Friday afternoon. Monday morning I get a response "oh, we don't expect to have all the data corrected before this coming Friday". Ok then. Second customer--who only had a handful of errors--same boat.

For some reason this reminds me of some audio cards that would run in software mode (or something) where heavy disk IO would do this as well.
Is your bluetooth chip a combination wifi/bt from intel? Might be an automatic driver update that did this. Check to see if you can "rollback" the driver in Device manager and if that fixes it.

@Tsaukpaetra I only have an SSD. It wasn't happening while my cloud drives were downloading all my files. It seems random. My drivers are intel but they have never auto updated - the dates were from when I first got my machine (or when it was first prepared) until I manually updated them. Right now I'm just writing a feedback to the feedback hub to let MS deal with it while I suffer. For bluetooth issues they have a way to "monitor your device" which I am doing and the issue has happened during this period, so hopefully it shows up in the data.

Status: editing a animated slideshow with sound over the Internet. Surprised at the responsiveness of the connection. Not surprised PowerPoint is choking on 511 slides of 8 MP pictures...
Edit: Surprisingly, this only managed to spring up to 7% average CPU usage in the Remote Desktop Gateway I was using for this purpose.
Though... How much processing does being an endpoint bridge really need? Was it the encryption? Now I'm wondering...
Status: fuck PowerPoint and its "export to video" feature. Playing said slideshow directly" (i.e. Normally) everything is perfect, no issues.
Export to video? Nope! Here, have a ton of audio glitches like rhythmic fading and loss of audio entirely for tens of seconds for no reason. Or maybe you just wanted it to be inexplicably quiet? Yeah, that's a setting specific to exports for sure!FFS all you have to do is render the damn thing off-screen and encode the frames! Is audio really that much harder to sequence?

Is it your first day on here? When has that ever been a thing?
Or is it just because @aliceif called you a dolt, and since you have no proper response to being called a dolt you're just gonna yell MOD ABUUUUUSE as if it was in any way relevant.
You're idiots, both of you, and your pigtail-pulling in every single thread is getting less and less amusing. Write a nice PM, sort out your differences, give yourself a nice no-homo hug and stop acting as if the forums were a giant battlefield between @blakeyrat's team and @FrostCat's team. Okay?

Sod you Samsung TV.
If you are able to do your software updates quietly when I've switched the telly off, why do I have to find the remote to get rid of the message asking me if I'd not rather do the software update right now instead. Those are the only two options: "later", or "now". Yes, this is a really boring movie and I'd rather sit through a software update instead.
