How is my firefox version effecting the server-side Onebox?
The server-side iframely just loads some JavaScript and a fallback thing. You're seeing the fallback thing.
The it's iframely. I've allowed all requests from the site. There is no blocked javascript being reported from NoScript. Ghostery is only blocking Gravatar. There's only one error, and that's some YouTube dumbfuckery and I never play Youtubes inline anyways:
URL https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?id=meiU6TxysCg&key=&part=snippet
http://i.imgur.com/H3vrsuq.png
There are no other 404 or "request blocked"
On THIS page (not the previous) I see Ghostery is blocking Twitter Button, but I think that's the "Share this useless shit on your useless timelines you fucking loose" button.
-
@Lorne-Kates It's not blocking
https://syndication.twitter.com
is it? That's where the script seems to be loaded from.

@Lorne-Kates Seems to be

The other requests to Twitter are either CSS or seem to have no response.

So it was just buried under three layers of shit.
Didn't even like the tweet. :|
Will consider keeping it whitelisted on tdwtf only.

Welcome to the Web of 2016…
-
-
@xaade that's
- not funny
- a screenshot of you arguing with nobody
- a picture that I replied to with a list with three items
-
-
-
I guess it's not so much funny then for most people.
My sense of humor includes this though.
-
-
-
@FrostCat that's a nice shirt! It's nice to see people showing love for people with an underappreciated disability
-
@El_Heffe my favourite quote from Misfits:
I'll kick you in the cunt so hard your mum will feel it!
-
@FrostCat oh shot guys, I think i just realized something....

That you love the colourblind too?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Is it really that easy not to notice that you cannot properly distinguish red from green for years? That's a mixture of odd and fascinating.
-
-
@asdf I would imagine it takes one saying,
"What, you can't tell the difference between those two colors?"
before they'll notice.
Outside of someone being observant to notice that other people CAN observe a difference and it somehow matters. Like if we were dumb enough not to use multiple cues on a notice (color, shape, position)
"What?!? Which button should a press? Hey dude, which button should I press?"
"That one?"
"How can you tell?"
"The color...?"
"What?!? They look the same to me."
Otherwise, you'll never notice you're looking through an annoying movie flashback filter.

I know making fun of git for being easy to break is overdone, but until they fix it I'll continue finding it funny.

@asdf said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

Surprisingly, yes! I knew someone who complained about a bright red indicator on a website I maintained. It was the color of the RED BOOB over there ---> so I could never understand what his problem was. Later he told me--he was about 21 at the time!--that he had gotten tested for a job or something and had red-green colorblindness.
-
@Yamikuronue I actually laughed out loud over that.
-
@FrostCat :) I find that comic is either laugh-out-loud funny, or not funny at all, with very little in between.
-
@DoctorJones That's not funny, that's cool!

How did my post give you the impression that it was?
-
@xaade It just surprises me because I remember having seen this kind of test in high school multiple times, so I suspected that most people came across one of those at some point in their lives.

This is a non sequitur. Based on the fact that you went on to say that he's colorblind, I'm left to assume that either the boob was actually green, or he called it a green boob when it was actually red. Either way, there's some missing information that is necessary for this story to actually make sense.

I'm pretty sure he was intentionally ing.
-
@asdf said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

Wait, what? No, I can see red vs green approximately 88% nominal.
@anotherusername said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

Depends. Are we still making fun of JPEG artifacts?
Further clarification: It might be possible to blame arsehole images making fun of colorblindness on JPEG artifacts due to high compression.

The indicator was a bright #ff0000 red, but he insisted it was washed out and muddy.

There's the missing information. Makes sense now, I guess. Thanks.

It depends. Red Apples are fine, certain computer monitors not so much.
-
"What do you have for me, Q?"
"Well, since you have enough tactical storage space in your trunk, I decided not to disguise this new line of spy gadgets. Here, this one is literally a missile launcher."

Kind of like people who have aphantasia and didn't realize because they thought everyone else was talking metaphorically.
-
@Zecc That sounds horrible.
-
@Zecc Baader Meinhoff there. I learned about aphantasia a few days ago, it's a really fascinating subject.
I seem to be below average on ability to picture things, but not completely aphantasiac.

Actually it sounds pretty good (I can summon the ghost of Jimi Hendrix in here any time I feel like listening to something new) but it generally does look fairly dull.

I'm sure it's on a spectrum somehow. I can picture things but not well, and many of my dreams don't have much of a visual component. I'm the total opposite with audio though, sometimes I wish there was a way to hook a speaker up to my brain and directly play sounds I'm thinking because imagining various voices, sounds, instruments, and tones is insanely easy for me. That would totally skip the "playing an instrument" middleman.
-
@mott555 said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

same here. It makes me good at impressions and accents, as well as being more able to recognise someone I don't know well by their voice rather than their looks

I laughed out loud at that. Especially this:
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp has claimed that Kardashian is working with Instagram's CEO to influence the Islamic republic's youth by portraying a lifestyle that is at odds with Islam.
ZOMG THEY'RE NOT MUSLIMS! THEY'RE HAVING FUN THAT WE CAN'T HAVE! OUR YOUTHS WILL ABANDON ISLAM! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Wow. Reading his experience makes me think of what it must be like on the other side of arguing about words with @blakeyrat.

@xaade Ok; I give up. What's the joke?
