The thing is that it's not a good incentive to say: "Hey, you'll earn just as much if you stay childless."
Not very sustainable in the long run and actually counterproductive (pardon the pun).

Along a similar theme, O'Reilly Auto Parts has a free tool loaner program for some rather expensive tools that you might only ever need to use once or twice:
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/RentalTools.oap:
Many vehicle repairs require specialty tools that will only be used once. That's why we have a loaner tool program available at all O'Reilly Auto Parts locations. The tool offering is broad enough to cover just about any job. The loaner tool program does require a deposit, which is fully refundable once the tool is returned. Use our Online Store Locator to find your local O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Tool availability may vary from store to store, we suggest you contact your local O'Reilly Auto Parts store to check on the tool you need.
AutoZone has had that for a while.
By 1986, expansion had made the company grow into a large store chain across the South and the Midwest. … The Loan-A-Tool program begins allowing customers the ability to borrow specific tools for jobs. [[1]]

There's no systemic solution for this. The problem is, from the POV of the employer, a worker who just disappears for months at a time IS a worse employee than the one who is always there. Therefore they deserve less important positions, therefore they get paid less.
That goes whether you bear children or have some kind of chronic illness or are a flaky person who likes to travel or whatever.
And all these schemes where employers are compensated with money ignore the fact that, in high ranked jobs, people are rarely interchangeable cogs you can switch over on a whim. If you invest a bunch of time into bringing an employee deeply into the business process and having them make personal relationships on which your business depends, and then they just disappear for several months and can't dedicate much of their thoughts and time to the job, well, you made a pretty bad hiring decision, didn't you?

It's true in most low ranked jobs too, though the cost of bringing someone new in might be lower, perhaps a few weeks as opposed to a few months. But the higher the skill level and the more specialised, plus the more they are necessarily connected to what everyone else is doing, the more costly it is. It's possible to set organisations up to have virtually everyone be an easily interchangeable cog in practice, but those sorts of places are horrible to work at.

Yeah. The common solution, actually, is marriage, so that two people can pool their resources.

I saw this in the commercial break before Stephen Colbert explained why & and are not numbers that you can enter the lottery with.

They would be (turned around, facing the wall, touching it), if he wasn't showing them off for the video.

I'd hoped he'd do that but I wasn't going to watch the whole video to find out.
I did that in college when my next-door neighbors played loud music. I had some shitty little 6" speakers but the wall was cinder block. And I had Big Black's album Songs About Fucking, which served the purpose very well.
Weeks of getting the RA to talk to them had no effect. A few iterations of "Pavement Saw" and "Bad Penny" worked ever so much better.

What, doesn't everyone want to search for "daerht saedi doog" to find it?

With discosearch, who'd notice the difference?

It would be discoursistend to return the expected result

Questions where the answer is "the same thing that would happen if you hadn't restricted my answer to this question"
- If you had finite money, what would you do with it?

- What if Zelda was a girl?
- What would you do if you opened your closet and there was the inside of a closet inside?

Zelda is the elf dude on Sega, right?
-
Legend of Zelda is on Nintendo, and the elf dude you actually play is Link, Zelda is the princess who isn't always in another fucking castle.
also, Discobug discovered, try out variations on the first line of this post...

Gazooks, how long did it take you to get them to do that? That looks like hours upon hours of manipulation!

I have no idea, but it's probably longer than it would take to write a program that outputs that video.
They posted some screenshots of the map here: http://mkv25.net/dfma/map-12634-armokinvaders

If I'm allowed WinForms and a HTTP control, I can write a program that outputs that video in literally 10 seconds.
-
If I'm allowed to use DOM, I can write a program that outputs that video if you input the URL.

What the mathematical fuck are you smoking?
You drank all the SJW Kool-Aid. That was rude. @Fox will go thirsty.

No, first you have to realize that when you look at the average man and the average woman, she's probably worked less time than he has, and would naturally make less.
Also, the jobs that were referenced are typically hourly jobs. Women work less hours than men. Then the idiots said that women only work less paid hours and that they do more housework.
Basically, no matter what, they will skew the information to push their agenda.

In this case, I did mean -- how can a group of people both NOT make less and also make less at the same time?

Presumably by it being a different set of groups being compared in the two cases?

So the wage gap doesn't exist, as long as you exclude the set of women who make less money than men?
