Were we supposed to stop at a pound?

i believe that 2.2kg is a minimum measurement.

i believe that 2.2kg is a minimum measurement.
I thought it was 2.2lbs to the kg, not 2.2kg to the lb?

Since when did you decide to learn hedgehogish?
-
hmm.... about the time i started dating a hedgehog i think.

We expect spike wound stories.
-
ok, but you should expect them to be delayed by at least the time spent in the ER, and possibly also by the length of the statute of limitations

Umm … if you're worried about the statute of limitations stay out of the ER!
Crazy fox.

Come on, you know I take great care with where I stick my quills…
-
oh i know.
i didn't say that they'd be stuck in either of us! :-D

One of my friends in college was in Navy ROTC. One day he's at PT and they're playing an Ultimate Frisbee style game (with a ball instead of a disc, but similar rules). He goes up for the ball, all alone, comes down without touching anyone or anything... and blows out his left ACL.
Turns out, the fourth form midshipman (senior, last year) who was supervising the exercise had been aware that there was an impending "fake injury drill". She comes up to him while he's crumpled up on the grass and leads with "are you my faker?"
His response: "No ma'am!"

-
Those don't seem particularly obscure to me.
ROTC - Reserve Officer Training Corps
PT - Physical Training
ACL - Don't know what it stands for but it's an important ligament in your knee
-
I know ACL is the anterior ... crossing?... ligament.
And PT is probably physical training.
I don't know about the rest.
-
ACL - Don't know what it stands for but it's an important ligament in your knee
Anterior Cruciate Ligament…
-
-
ACL at least is hardly obscure?
PT's fairly intuitive. I did have to google ROTC to find out what the R stood for, but OTC for Officer Training Corps is reasonably well known, it was in context...
-
So called because when torn is produces ex-cruciate-ing pain.

I'm sure it hurts a lot but I doubt it really compares with crucifixion.
-
ACL at least is hardly obscure?
It's amazing the things that aren't obscure if you know what they mean.
OTC for Officer Training Corps is reasonably well known,
Dammit Jim, I'm a programmer, not a soldier
-
Cruciate does come from the fact they are two crossed ligaments. I knew what I was saying, even if I didn't know the exact word.
And the word "excrutiating" also comes from the same Latin root.
-
By the same token it's amazing the things that are obscure if you don't know what they mean.
-
Dammit Jim, I'm a programmer, not a soldier
Hah! It's the navy. They're sailors, not soldiers.
-
I'm a programmer, not a shooty shooty kill the bad guys dude

What's your take on the marines?Filed under: I wouldn't take on a marine.
-
What's your take on the marines?
They are marines. Other terms may lead to unpleasantness.
-
By the same token it's amazing the things that are obscure if you don't know what they mean.
Yeah, it's almost as if people know different things and one shouldn't assume particular knowledge in another. Fancy that
-
The fact that someone, somewhere, doesn't know it doesn't make a thing obscure.

Yo, yo, yo, me an' my homies, we be usin' the word 'cruciate' all the time. "Yo, what up, dawg, cruciate this! I gots to gets a-cruciatin' upon my good woman. Hol' up, lets me cruciate yo' marijuana cigarette there, don' makes me drop a cruciatin' cap in yo' cruciate ass, yo damn cruciate foo'..." Hoo-boydy, we'all do go on...
-
Idiot: 0. Trashcan: 1.
What was he even expecting would be the result of that?
—"Please excuse me good sir, I have need to impose leg force upon my facial zones by means of this trash swing..."
-
If that's a karate kick, I'm a fox

What you did there.... I see it.

Hehe, seamen.
That's been said about the navy for a loooong time.
The only traditions of the Royal Navy are rum, sodomy and the lash. —
Churchill's assistant, Anthony Montague-Browne said that although Churchill had not uttered these words, he wished he had.[source]

A friend joined the Navy after high school. First time I saw him home on leave he said, "I'm a seaman now. It's been nearly 20 years since I've been a seaman."
-
Is that some seamen in your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?
-
Oh, hey, random injuries?

Thatt's my pinky, after I stubbed it on a suitcase. Twice. Toenails grow back, right?

Once again illustrating the importance of proper punctuation.

Given that this is you, there are three options for this picture:
- a Dwarf Fortress player
- the guy who created Go
- rotc is lojban for Chinese
-
You missed one:
- A Dota 2 player named rOtK, which is very similar in spelling to ROTC.
