Minus credit to the author for implying that Communists infiltrating government agencies during the Cold War wasn't bad for national security.
Bad Idea: Having an American president who was elected with help from the sort of Communists the Cold War was about.

@Lorne-Kates Heh. Help.

We should make a game that's just color static based on a hardware true random generator and at the end ask the player if they saw any static. If they say yes, destroy the universe. Quantum Bogogame.

Congratulations. You've just invented Captcha2.

Interesting, I think i have a set of something like this.
They're spheres and have little bells inside (or, at least it feels like it and they make noises like one). I like to use them for stress relief (like stress ball) by squeezing them repetitively.

I don't have a problem with in on principle. I do, however, wonder if the design is bad. It looks like a lot of people would end up accidentally firing it when they're trying to unfold the handle.

Ah, perhaps not then...

Available in a variety of forms, the balls may be solid, or contain clappers or chimes within.
Is there any reason for that other than getting a very awkward Pavlovian response every Christmas?

I've seen photos of guns disguised as phones way back in the 90s.
Umbrellas too.
-
@PJH Other ideas the executives considered were "The consonant movie", "the roman numerals movie" or "the transcendental number movie".
-
@PleegWat but why would someone want to disguise an umbrella as a phone?

Because he's done enough serious stuff that he's doing it for shits and giggles would be my guess.

A friend gave me a pair of those. The idea is to shuffle them around in your hand - but quietly. You have to concentrate to keep them from rattling and that gets your mind off the stressful stuff. And re-orients it: stop rattling DAMMIT!
Edit: Correction: Remembered wrong. accupressure.

Why, Sir Patrick, why?
In the words of the late, great Sir Larry: Money, dear boy.
Seriously, this doesn't even compare to taking briefcases full of dosh - literal piles of cash in various denominations and tenders, handed to him at the end of each day - from the Moonies to play an overly-mascara'ed Douglas MacArthur, with the script direction that he should make the Old Soldier 'sound just like W.C. Fields' FFS. Really, Olivier?
Filed Under: The original Clash of the Titans wasn't embarrassing enough for you?

I have only one reaction for this news:

A friend of mine told me about this, because I have some very weird friends. I immediately thought it needed to be shared in this thread.
Don't let Senpai notice you!
Yandere Simulator is a stealth game about stalking a boy and secretly eliminating any girl who seems interested in him, while maintaining the image of an innocent schoolgirl.

Uh, what?
From what I've read, that's what it does. Because of how it works, it generates huge amounts of disk traffic, which is OK for spinning platters, but taxes the wear levelling on SSDs something fierce. And eventually, the inevitabubble happens.
