But actually, I'm calling bullshit on your fundamental premise that lightning is silent. When something produces a sound, it's not "silent."
Do you object to "loud speakers" and "loud traffic"? "Thunder" is just a term given to a specific sound produced by lightning.

I got interested and went looking to see if any language uses one word for both, seems like it's only Chinese where Thunder == Lightning. Everywhere else they seem to be separate and you don't need disambiguating qualifiers to get which one it is.

Making fun of clothes might occur in minor amounts, and sometimes they say I should exercise too.

@pie_flavor I fasted two weeks out of a year (the only two weeks entire year I didn't have a dire task that took over my entire day, so I could actually focus my mind on not eating). Lost ten pounds with zero exercises. It truly is a miracle diet. Dunno about long-term health consequences, but who cares - I just want people to stop reminding me that I'm fat.

Of course it wasn't an absolute fasting. My mom would kill me if I refused the dinner she made.
Because the rate of loss gets decimated if you do it for over three days in a row and you can actually put on weight in that time.

@GÄ…ska Allegedly skipping breakfast every day can help because then you get a long, overnight mini-fast. Hard to be sure though, because there's a whole bunch of misinformation surrounding dieting and weight loss.

It does work a hell of a lot better. The body has a natural energy conservation response to what it perceives as an inability to get food, perhaps because there is a predator between you and the food. Like hibernation minus the sleeping. This is why starvation diets never work. The point of a fasting diet is to repeatedly interrupt the process before it starts, so you can get that pure weight loss without going into conservation mode.

@GÄ…ska ideally you don't want to hit three days in a row, and you also want to be able to consume enough so you don't feel constantly drained. I do one out of three; I remember someone else here does two out of seven. Most optimal would probably be two out of four but you would swiftly find yourself becoming a lethargic cave dweller.

@GÄ…ska I'm assuming you're not running now? If so, then I'd not be running daily regardless. You need to give your body time to recover.
It's not necessarily a problem to run on a fast day, you just don't need to run daily.

And legal assistance is a good idea, even if you don't plan on doing anything illegal. You may do something illegal by ignorance, or get sued by someone even if you're totally clean.

Yeah, it's context. He's advocating skipping CE compliance and just hoping nobody notices because of all the other people already doing the same.
RAPEX would beg to differ that you don't get caught. 'Recall from customers' is going to sting a bit.I agree about legal insurance in principle though.

"China Export" doesn't exist, and it doesn't need to: any less-than-honest Chinese manufacturer will put the real logo on your device, they don't give a damn about whether you did any testing. Even lesser-honest ones will nicely provide fake certifications documents if you ask for them.
The logo on the right side is just a mistake, and it appears on some products which have real CE conformity.

Yeah, I heard a story of some electrical engineering company being suspicious of their supplier and the validity of the documents they presented, so they asked the supplier to show them a certificate that their product is compliant with DUPA standard - which they happily provided.
