@tsaukpaetra That's actually a reconstruction. Their Windows XP laptops don't have the Snipping Tool, hence nobody could take a real screenshot.
Shirley they could just as easily PrtScn and paste into paint. That's been a thing since at least Windows 95...

They tried, but the resulting 10 MB BMP file was too large to upload.

PUBG is a popular game in a fairly new-ish and so far not too crowded genre and other publishers are, of course, jumping on the bandwagon. The publisher, Blue Hole Entertainment is not amused. So they are suing people left and right. One of their pieces of evidence of "blatant copying" is that some of the other games include a frying pan as a weapon, which they claim they invented (they didn't).

@jbert Yeah, I'm betting either there's no such thing as the British milk council, or they've never heard of twitter.

@Tsaukpaetra I'm willing to bet a small amount that among all the <Boring Profession> Simulator 2017 there is at least one where you can log some trees even if that isn't the prime objective of the game.

It's not a schooner, it's a sailboat.

@polygeekery 6 years to circumnavigate the world? Magellan did it in 3 years and 1 month in 1519-1522 using zero-emission wind power.

Yeah, that's why this is so dumb. They are moving backwards. They could have ditched most of the solar panels and installed some sails they would have been ahead on practicality and saved money.

Morons. The lot of them.
Like...seriously?
It's even worse: The thing stores the superfluous energy by creating hydrogen instead of using accumulators. This drives efficiency to absolute rock-bottom.
Plus, the morons weren't even able to lookup the big words they were using - they state that they're using "hydrogenators" to create the hydrogen.
Hydrogenation is the chemical process of consuming hydrogen in order to, for example, convert Ethylene into Ethane.

@rhywden maybe they are making transfats on the ship?

Well, considering their track record, they may use it to make their ship waterproof.

Hope they can store a whole bunch! That first nasty storm they run into... well, the sun don't shine!

@dcon I think they missed an opportunity. They didn't mention that the forward motion of the ship would create airflow that would spin the turbines, which would make hydrogen, which would be used to make the ship move, which would cause airflow, ...

They could have at least gone with something mechanically cool rather than just boring propellers for propulsion.
Magnus-effect rotor propulsion systems is where it's at:

@cursorkeys Oh dear, at least he said "can".
Some of my math-inclined colleagues totally insist that they should start at one, "that's correct". I need something more spiky than a gun.

Add some soft lighting and some cheap booze and that resource will renew itself.
