@boner Nice try, but Harry Potter's cloak is visible when not worn
Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

@da-doctah Well and true, but you're reading to much into the joke. IMO, it's more of a reference to this:
[color chart]
Which is also "sexist" and 100% true.
Not according to the xkcd colour survey.
Maybe 10% true, but there's not that much difference.

@scarlet_manuka do women not know what color salmon is?
-
@ben_lubar Raw or cooked?

@ben_lubar Raw or cooked?
Injected with artificial flavors, clearly.

How about unexpected graces:
[plus size ballet dancer]The reason most ballet dancers are small is so that other ballet dancers can lift them. I would not want to try lifting this man.
Even if I had the muscle strength of a trained ballet dancer, I mean.

It's diet, not injections.

Yeah, useless onebox. Instead:
The actual color of salmon flesh varies from almost white to light orange, depending on their levels of the carotenoid astaxanthin due to how rich a diet of krill and shrimp the fish feeds on; salmon raised on fish farms are given artificial coloring in their food.
Anyway, why I was here:

@pjh
that's a whole lot of winking ...

That would be "farmed or wild?"

Yes, I would, because the pages would protect my fist from any potential damage from the destruction of the aforementioned eyewear.

I call Shenanigans. There's no way a guy knows salmon as a color.

@tsaukpaetra I'm willing to bet a small amount that among all the <Boring Profession> Simulator 2017 there is at least one where you can log some trees even if that isn't the prime objective of the game.

I'm absolutely certain I've seen Lumberjack Simulator and it was 1000% as buggy as you would expect

@ben_lubar IIRC, Blakey did a let's play of it, although it might have been someone else. It's much too late to check tonight.

But in general, if your loop body is longer than 5 lines and there's more to your function than just this loop, it usually means that refactoring is overdue.
Funtions too short have their own problems. IIRC code complete claimed that researchers found out the ideal function size os around 200 LOC. That means lots of loops with more than 5 lines in their bodies.

In javascript, this is optimized so that each line of code gets its own library

I can see why you posted that in this particular topic.

Congress uses laptops? With Vista? No wonder they're so slow!

@tsaukpaetra That's actually a reconstruction. Their Windows XP laptops don't have the Snipping Tool, hence nobody could take a real screenshot.

@blakeyrat Good gosh, that was frustrating to watch.
