@Tsaukpaetra Not every one likes super-sized phones.

Let's make a showerhead that mists you, yet can apparently clean you better!
Not to mention that those fine droplets will be cold by the time they hit you, but they somehow manage to spin that off as a "feature"...
Yeah... no. Heating the air isn't a good thing (you already have a furnace for that). Warm air is relatively bad at transferring its heat to you, where it's needed. Warm water is really good at it. You're just wasting energy heating the air; the water should be delivering the heat directly to where it's needed: your skin.
I've used a showerhead that atomized the water before. It just made it cold, and I had to adjust the water to be hotter to compensate for that.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I read an article about how people really like this idea, because they hate the phablet craze.
I bet it has a camera about as good as those new Nokias, which I read someone say was a cool feature, because the bad quality would make it easy to recognize what phone it was taken on.

And then you move closer to the shower head to clean the lather out of your hair and get scolded. BTDT.

I hear "atomizer" and all I can think of is "you made a really bad e-cig and stuck the components in a showerhead instead?"
I know, the assembly looks nothing like that, but I still find it to be an entertaining thought.

@Vault_Dweller Ah. So the Nokia is unusable so people have to talk instead.

hell it would probably take a nuke to the face A-OK
in the years i've had her i've
- Dropped her off the roof onto concrete
- Dropped her off a higher roof onto concrete
- lost her while snow blowing and found it when it got caught in the augers and sheered the sheer pin
- involuntarily went swimming with her in my pocket, twice
- Caught the dog using it as a chewtoy, took him to the vet for a chipped tooth after that one.
- and so much more.

This may sound bad, but I'm amused it did more damage to the dog than the dog did to it

More wireless charging bullshit.

The best part of the whole campaign is the timeline:
At this point all they have is an idea. Their timeline only gives them 3 months to develop a product that no one else has been able to do on this size scale yet and only another month to figure out the logistics of delivering all of this shit.
To say the least, their timeline is optimistic. At worse, they are total bullshit scammers. Their bullshit marketing video is obviously just showing a project box with a CR2032 cell and a LED hotglued inside a white project box.
Better, more comprehensive breakdown:
-
@Polygeekery What I'm more concerned with is that there is no On/Off switch beside the wall plug

It bitch uses an escalation algorithm. First she stands at the door staring at me. If I don't respond she scratches the door. Twice ignored she'll patiently bark. After five times she'll come and just pee on me instead. This only happened once.

People have been too brainwashed to think "all you need is an idea" and "nothing is impossible", and that's the result.

Here's a freebie for the entrepreneurs:
I carry a number of devices. On a normal day, I carry a cell phone, MacBook Air, some manner of Windows laptop and I may add on a tablet in the near future. All but the cell phone end up back at my home in my laptop bag and set down on the floor. I would fucking love it if I had a wireless charging mat that I could set that bag down on where all the dividers inside of it were also wireless charging mats and would charge everything inside.
I know there are technological hurdles. I know that wireless charging is inherently inefficient. Maybe the mat that the bag gets set on has a grid on it of positive and negative terminals and the bottom of the laptop bag makes a connection that way?
Regardless, I would love some place to set my laptop bag with all of its associated devices that would charge everything without me having to get all of them out and plug them in. Solve that problem, because many others have it and we would pay money for the solution.
-
@polygeekery Can't you just put the bag in the microwave for a few minutes?
-
That shows some faith in your 'product'.

What about a bag with a load of USB ports/cables and a smallish built in battery? You'd have to plug the devices in rather than just chucking them in the bag, but they could also start charging immediately, then the bag could charge its own battery off a standard wireless charging pad on the bottom (which might be able to get a decent charge rate if it's big enough)

What about a bag with [...]
The issue I have with all this kind of solutions is that they might be good for the added features, but are they any good as a bag? I mean, a bag is an object for which there are tons of different features, bazillions of different models depending on what you might like (exterior size, interior size, padding, straps, number of pockets, water-proofing, weight... and that's just considering a few purely technical aspects, not the styling and brand and what-not). So a new bag with a nice included feature might have a nice included feature, but it's unlikely to be the "right" bag for many people.
This is kind of the application of the Unix CLI philosophy to real life: do one thing (charge stuff), do it well (without needing to plug etc.), but don't try doing other things (carrying stuff) when there are already a lot of tools to fit people's needs.

During a Phoenix summer, that would be a feature. Right now, the water is so hot coming into my house, that I have my water heater turned off, and the water is still a little bit warmer than I tend to like for a shower.
