RE: WTF Bites
@polygeekery Whoever did that in the first place needs to be fired out of a cannon aimed toward the ocean.

See that checkbox I circled? You probably have that checked. Uncheck it to stop the auto log in.

Inefficent Bugs
That line will cause any block that has 'ore' anywhere in its name to show up when the block is used. Also, the onBlockPlaced is called each time an instance of the block is placed, and the 'coder' loops over the block registry EACH FUCKING TIME! In a big pack, that would cause a major lag spike.
This was found by someone on a Minecraft Discord channel, when Ore Crushers popped up when that block was placed (said block creates random ores in a 3 x 3 x 3 cube around it from what I can tell from the code).
@RaceProUK Could I borrow a ? I think that developer needs a solid whack.

RE: Microsoft Edge can't numbers
This bug is in the running for "Bizarre Bug of the Year".
I guess it is some kind of cache corruption issue. Those are fun to debug (NOT!).

RE: In other news today...
EDIT: Just noticed this was from 2014. My mom mentioned it a few minutes ago so I looked it up.
Still, WTF?

RE: Fall Creators Update, or how to fuck up the OS from start to finish
I just updated to the FCU, and I haven't had any real issues yet. Everything works (so far).
I've never had any major issues with WinX. The only BSOD I've had was caused by a faulty Nvidia driver (apparently one of their developers was testing in production).
I may just be lucky (with a decent machine).

RE: GIF or JIF?
I pronounce it like the Peanut Butter.
One guy I know (who has the nickname 'The most Annoying Person in the Universe') actually calls it by what the letters stand for: 'Graphics Interchange Format Image'. Just like he calls SQL 'Structured Query Language' and PNG 'Portable Network Graphics'.
Pretty much everyone hated talking to him, as he had an 'I'm a genius and you are insolent pleebs' attitude.
Last I heard (about three months ago) he was out of a job after getting fired by McDonalds.

Do you Luvit?
(In General as I am not sure that this is actually a WTF)
A Lua based reimplementation of NodeJS. Same API, but a somewhat saner language choice.

RE: Fun responses to spam phone calls
One of my friends likes to blast Air Horns through the phone at 'people' like this.
He also has done an impression of the Devil and stated 'Thank you for calling Hell, Inc. How may we condemn you today?".

RE: Firefox Quantum WTF Of The Day
@tsaukpaetra I don't know what Chrome was doing, but it kept OOMing. Even if it was the only thing I opened. It has been a while since that incident, so I might as well try again. Might have been a transient bug.
My other main gripe with Chrome is that the tabs don't scroll when there are lots of them, they just get smaller and smaller. All other browsers that I've used scroll the tabs. Why did Google think that was a GOOD idea?

RE: Equifax Part 2
I've seen more than a few people start calling Equifax 'Equifux' for these failures.

RE: WTF Bites
@Yamikuronue OK, makes sense.
One would think that testing with both kinds of data would be performed, but...

RE: WTF Bites
There are a couple of projects I use for this:
- Clink - A GNU Readline wrapper for CMD
- PSReadLine - A Pure PS Readline implementation
Both fix the bizarre autocomplete behavior in their respective shells.
They also work well with ConEmu, my favorite terminal system.

RE: Datetime localization
@blakeyrat From the command used, I would suspect some Linux variant (LC_ALL is used on Linux [and other Unix-esque systems] to control localization).

RE: Does the page have no styling, or is it me?
@boomzilla I looked at the developer tools in Firefox, and found the network here is blocking a lot of things.

RE: TIL (about the Dark Arts of HTML)
TIL how to open the glass cover of our fireplace to access the 'burn zone' (not sure of the actual term). We had a moth in there and our cats were going nuts.
