You gotta read the small print carefully. @Tsaukpaetra's terms of service mention "up to 55.5555555% uptime".

I have 99.999% uptime according to internally-kept records!
Just because downtime logging is seemingly impossible on a non-responsive system shouldn't mean anything at all!

@boomzilla To be fair ... the historic version of the rocket jump is about as hardcore:

Having tried various types of mice and trackballs over the years, I find touchpads best for non-gaming uses. My wrists certainly think they're best. And the best trackpads are definitely in the Macbook Pro, and that's the real reason I prefer them for work.
I agree on the Macbook Pro trackpad.
I actually bought a Magic Trackpad 2 to use with my work MBP, as I tend to use it with an external keyboard so can't use the built-in trackpad.

@boomzilla Meh, second person plural is nothing. It's third person singular neuter that's going to destroy the world.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but this made me think of WTDWTF members as people who'd enjoy this, so why not.
TL;DR: the last three paragraphs.
Some person asked on /r/selfhosted:
TLDR; My school blocked repl.it, and I want to be able to self host an equivalent service to use.
If anyone knows of a good self hosted alternative I would love to check it out. As long as it supports Java and Python I should be okay.
Some other person:
Do you know why they blocked it? Worth talking to the school about unblocking it.
Same person again:
I sent them an email, and they told me that they blocked it because there was "an unusually high amount of users accessing the site" and that they thought it might have been something students were using to goof off in class. I explained to them what repl.it is actually used for, and they said they would look into it further.
This isn't the first time they've done something stupid like this. 2 years ago they accidentally blocked their own website, and last year they banned the Desmos calculator app, not realizing that every math teacher in the high school used that app.
Their IT department goes overboard with banning random apps, and only bothers to unban them once teachers and students complain. I'm sure they'll bring back repl.it after they get enough complaints from the computer science teachers.

I have it on good authority vending machines are unreasonably picky about what they accept...

Naturally. The simulation was written by software developers, after all...

Shirley, the (outside) time required for processing should be completely irrelevant.

And nobody, absolutely nobody has told them they can just SSH to their home computer.
