@El_Heffe Tumbleweed Avalanche sounds like a great band name.
Only if it was a Country-Western/Punk hybrid.
-
Either way he's a fantastic actor. Almost as good in my opinion as
Sir Patrick StewartWilliam ShatnerFTFY
-
-
Country/Thrash Metal mashup band?
Couldn't be worse than the country/rap c-rap that's been plaguing country music throughout the last decade.

anything that makes Country use more than that same four chord progression as the base of the song..... is a good thing...

uhh.......... well.... you do you.... you do you.
-
the motorists objected to using the Boring Company equipment to clear the obstructions.
They wanted to minimize the collateral damage to emergency vehicles.
-
Considering the fact that this problem arises from tumbleweeds being rather mobile (evidence to the contrary), I'm not sure that tumbling fireballs will be an improvement.
Why do you hate fun?

slow clearing equipment
couldn't they have used fast clearing equipment instead?

I resemble that remark.

Are you giving him a mulligan for 'Cats'?

@Polygeekery Every actor deserves one.

nah, no need. I consider Cats a good movie.
It's not a traditional movie, but then neither is the musical, so that's alright then. Cats the movie is very aware of its heritage, and leans into that with gusto. They know what they want to do and they do it well. and i love that.

Based on my newspaper's reviewer describing it as 'sensual cat stuff' (and not having seen it yet myself), I conclude he is a furry. Whether he is aware of that fact, I'm unsure.

That's Game of Thrones, not Cats.
not one of the better episodes of GoT in my opinion, but also not one of the worst either. Kinda in the middle to be honest.
-
@Vixen The Varys coughing meme is probably the best thing to come out of GoT season 8
-
@El_Heffe Tumbleweed Avalanche sounds like a great band name.
My first thought, also.
I've added it to my list of potential band names.

Country/Thrash Metal mashup band?
...... I'd go to their gigs..... I'd even pay to get in.
For a brief time in late 70s-Early 80s in Los Angeles there was a combination of country and punk known as Cow Punk. Tumbleweed Avalanche would have fit right in.
-
@El_Heffe Wanted to read that, but they block you if you have an ad blocker. (Looks at ABP counter - 94 blocked already. Yeah, fuck you.)
I have an adblocker running (uBlock Origin), no problem

Check out Andre the Black Nerd's review on YouTube, where he basically says that Taylor Swift's performance in this was the most attractive he's ever seen her, which leaves him a little bit confused...

Found your problem.
:eyeroll:
finding the problem means nothing without giving a solution that actually solves the problem for the other person.

@Vixen
Yes blakey

The problem is you said "there's no equivalent browser setting" even though you've obviously meant "there's no equivalent Chrome setting...".
You should have known better, with this crowd.

yikes that's a lot of blocked stuff
Meh. I spent a bunch of time watching dumb and random videos on YT a couple of nights ago. The ABP counter on that tab is currently 577, and at one point it was over 2000.

I'm not sure that tumbling fireballs will be an improvement.
That sounds like an improvement to just about anything.

I wonder what good are such asserts when developers never see them after release?
Related:
I went to pay a bill this morning. As you may remember, although I am currently in Texas, I still have my apartment in Silly Valley, so I still have to deal with Pacific Gas, Electric & Wildfires. So I open their website.
I'm greeted with a banner across the bottom with the choices "Accept Cookies" or "Don't sell my information". Yes, literally "Don't sell my information". (Wording may not be exact, but it did say "don't sell".) Naturally, I click on "Don't sell", and a left-docked dialog opens with a choice of which cookies I want to accept. Naturally, I disable everything it allows me to disable. I click confirm "Confirm choices", and the dark overlay over the rest of the page disappears, but the dialog doesn't close. I click the X to close the dialog. It doesn't close. The rest of the page behind it works; I'm able to log in, but I can't see 1/3 of the page.
I open dev tools to delete the dialog div from the DOM. Good, now I can see what I'm doing. However, I don't close dev tools, because it's just sitting there, not bothering anybody, right?
Wrong. The page doesn't load fully. With the crappy hotel WiFi I've complained about so many times before, this is not surprising, but then I notice a box at the top of the page "Browser paused at debug statement". The dev tools have automatically switched from the DOM tab to the JS console, and I glance at the JS code.
Yep. The devs left
debug;
statements in production code. Admittedly, it's only going to affect a tiny percentage of users who would for some reason have dev tools open while trying to pay their PG&E bill, but still...

Today I am looking to edit a STL file, so I go digging for Fusion360 which is in AppData because it is only masquerading as a locally installed and executed program and I run across an oddity in Program Files x86. There is a folder named "Fake Product". So immediately:
Guess what? It is part of Windows Deployment Kit. Like,
Microsoft? Why would you do that?
