Latest Windows 10 update has disabled Wi-Fi service on my computer. It took me a while to figure out why it doesn't find any networks.
So that poor thing finally put itself out of its misery. Let it rest in peace.
-
@Zerosquare I used automatic repair, and it turned back on.

My sanity went long ago, but that is a good decision on your part.

OK, this reviews thing is getting out of hand. These are electronic components, very few things are going to be usefully reviewed. Also, there was 300 pounds of other stuff in that order, why does the box get singled out?

@Cursorkeys said in WTF Bites:

Because nobody's written a review about it yet?
You should totally say "It was an Aluminum Enclosure, IP67, Shielded, 200 x 150 x 75mm, but I ordered the Aluminium Enclosure, IP67, Shielded, 200 x 150 x 75mm. Dissatisfied!"
-
@Tsaukpaetra Except it was spelt properly in the image. Should receive five stars for that sole reason

That's what you'd think, but I've sometimes encountered reviews saying useful things like "does/does not include X" (when it's not obvious from the description), "compatible/not compatible with Y", or "tends to fail after 3 months/has been working fine for years" (for off-brand stuff).

@pie_flavor Well, I found the setting - it's in nodebb-plugin-markdown.
Also, found something worthy of this thread!return config.markdown.highlightLinesLanguageList.includes(className) || config.markdown.highlightLinesLanguageList.includes(className);
That
return
is from an anonymous function, which for conciseness here I'll just calltruthyFunction
, which is used in:if (block.className.split(' ').map(truthyFunction).some(Boolean))
Compare to:
if (block.className.split(' ').some(truthyFunction))
...the latter would do the same thing, except it wouldn't create an additional array like
map
, andsome
would short circuit as soon astruthyFunction
returns something truthy (some
short circuits in the other code, too, but by that point,map
has already processed the whole array).Also,
if
statements with multiline conditions like that (truthyFunction
and the rest of that condition are spread over several lines) can make the code kind of hard to read and maintain...

@Benjamin-Hall The wasn't the question, it was the answers.

I didn't see that because I was too focused on the fact that I had no idea I was even looking for. Writing good questions is hard. So is writing answers.
-
They obviously had to include "symmetric" two times. You know, for symmetry.
-
@Zerosquare I didn't even notice that, ha. I was too focused on the fact that the correct answer (none of these) was written twice. I guessed correctly ("none of these").

uh..
Do you use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker? Asking for a correlations specialist.

Yeah. My last order from Amazon was a bunch of random stuff, like cables a few cables, a gaming keypad, a certain book and some other bits and pieces. The emails that I get are the standard Amazon stuff, plus
- "Brauchen Sie Syncwire Premium Support" (Do you need Syncwire Premium Support?)
- "Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erhalt Ihres Syncwire-Produktes" (Congrats to receiving your blah blah)
German, since amazon.de is the closest amazon.
Dudes/dudettes ... we're talking about a €8 display port cable, why the hell would I need support for that? Does that really warrant two emails? Fucking spam.

Status: Who the fuck keeps filling the empty soap bottle with water? You're not magic, and water does not turn into soap just because it got put in a bottle.
Retards!

@Tsaukpaetra Is this a public place or your own home?
Most recently? Own home. But it's happened at work too.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I'd guess that it happens when the bottle is running low and mostly just pumps air. If you add some water you can get the last bit of soap, or soapy water. Repeat and flog with a leather implement to mage magic water with the same properties as soap.

Except, the bottle was filled all the way to the top, and the water wasn't soapy at all.
-
@Tsaukpaetra well, that'd be repeated top-ups with water because a full bottle must be better than a little on the bottom?
Never mind getting a new bottle.

Never mind getting a new bottle.Yeah... this household is well known for being so lazy that literally nothing gets put away, even if it's right next to the place it would go if one were to put said things away.

I may have used something like "modern mix" or some other stardock product when win 8 was at it's shittiest. But I think I've removed it since.

I live with two bitches, parents, Step kids, and at one time a rat. He died in one of the air vents though.

Careful, or @Luhmann might spray water all over those papers. Better put them away if they're important

Is "none of these" included in the set of statements that must be false in order for the other "none of these" to be true?

The really interresting bit is, this system is a critical system that handles highly sensitive data and as such, it was mandated from the very top of the organisation (a very large one) that this particular code must not be touched by non european developers, nor must it ever be offshored.
Was this before or after L&T got ahold of it?
If before, the guy who gave it to them should not be there much longer (as soon as his doing so comes to light, as in, as soon as the formerly working program breaks on something it used to do fine).
If after, then at least someone there isn't spineless.

Does it mean that the currently running VM immediately becomes unusable, but the captured one can be used instead (as long as it's been generalized)?

I don't comprehend the question. Why would I purposefully do things that annoy me?
