just keep scheduling the updates.
I will, but you might want to think about putting some sort of annotation on the chart. Or even having a way to view previous days' charts.

raw data is available for download from servercooties today.
as for the viewing of historical charts..... there are plans..... yes there are plans....

The thing is, I made an abridged chart and it was still a 16MB HTML file. And it takes like a minute to load when I use the flash version of Google annotated timeline charts and never loads if I use the HTML5 version of annotation charts.
Also, I noticed the database has something like 175 copies of each key in the "pages" table, and that the "pages" table doesn't have anything other than the text field but somehow you have a foreign key referencing it.

hmm... it's still inserting dupes in pages... damnit. gotta fix that
as for the foreign key, i reference
oid
which exists as an id field on every table, even if you dont' specify it.sqlite3's weird like that.
-
@accalia said in Discussion of NodeBB Updates:
oid
I have a feeling that might break with the way of fixing the dump because sqlite3 .dump doesn't export implicit row IDs. Any chance you could make it have an explicit ID column?

without breaking the site as is.... dunno. i'll look into it.
DB will be migrated to a new structure as part the rewrite to be a less.... bad.... design.

@accalia you should make it closed source. I heard it improves quality by an order of magnitude

if i did that then the other @sockdevs couldn't help.
no i'll improve quality by actually testing my code, deploying on a schedule, and accepting feedback and implementing features requests from the community.

Not if you gave them access to your repo. Closed source doesn't mean "I'm the only one who can see it".

Apparently I can't upload pictures anymore. Would post screenshot, but, well, denied.

I like fixes like these:
composer does not show upload buttons to users that cannot upload in the current category
I mentally translate them to, "NodeBB developers slowly and laboriously figure out how the fuck GUIs are supposed to work".

I don't suppose you noticed that the very same update
added category-level permissions for uploading files and images
-

@ben_lubar said in Discussion of NodeBB Updates:
You do have permission to upload, but pasting is broken right now.
Oh, so I have to use the Firefox workaround then? Lovely...
Whelp, until the next reboot...

Yes, we've leveled the playing field: Now Firefox and Chrome perform equally well with pastes! Lets see... who was it... I think it was @Lorne-Kates, right? Raise your flags!

I'd like to report that the site doesn't work with NCSA Mosaic. When will this be resolved?

@error Mosaic is unmaintained, but we could ask them to support Dillo

@clippy why not Lynx?

I love how the logo is basically meta-commentary on what's going on beside it.

Streaming seems to be utterly broken now. I had the "unread posts" tab open for like an hour and no new posts streamed in. I hit the tab link again and suddenly there were like 8 new posts. Checking the timecodes shows those new posts weren't all made in the previous 10 seconds.

Firefox 22 isn't a "future update". Unless maybe ... it might be, for @Lorne-Kates.

Feature request for @TDWTF-NodeBB-Development - a button in the editor that puts in the spoiler tag syntax for you.
Also, since this is already bug-tracking-done-wrong anyway, here's a second feature request in the same post: - a button for Mafia Club Ded members that appears when they're browsing one of the Mafia threads - "quote reply in Club Ded"
-
@izzion spoiler? You mean
<details><summary></summary></details>
?
-
Yeah, except I think you have the order of tags backwards? Basically like the <del><ins> button, but for spoilers.
-
@izzion that's correct, I've edited it.
