@Applied-Mediocrity I've not seen any problems.
-
@Applied-Mediocrity we haven't had the watchdog process kill any nodes today. I don't see anything terribly worrying from the traffic graphs right now:
-
Hmm...we weren't getting restarts but the site seemed sluggish to me (and completely inaccessible, even to pings) for a bit:
-
Image upload also seems to be b0rked.
-
@LaoC yes. Welp, whatever it was seems to be at least partly gone.

Wonder if this trawl is how I got banned forever from StackOverflow.

I assumed it was me when I updated my IPv6 address, but I guess that's not the case...

Automatic payment probably stopped working! IT’s an OVH feature

I just figured my IP got banned.

That's the question people who weren't here 9 hours ago are asking.

No. It was the payment thing. It's happened before. It'll happen again (if we don't migrate out of OVH).

Actually, I had an ssh session open and was doing stuff locally in a VM testing stuff. At first I was worried that I'd done something in the wrong console. Then I realized that I couldn't even ping the server and realized what had likely happened, based on previous experience.

Anybody else having trouble getting WTDWTF-hosted images to load?
-
@JBert not currently, but sometimes in image heavy threads I've noticed it taking a few seconds.
-
I noticed images were slow to load the other day, but seems fine at the moment.
-
@loopback0 You didn't find it refreshingly nostalgic, like when you were browsing the web on your 28.8k modem back in 1997?

We need another unicorn, stat! Did the letter CDN go down?

I think one of the instances has gone stupid. I've been getting intermittent network problems "can't connect to WTDWTF", partially loaded topics lists, or other general bad response times over the past few days, that are immediately fixed by refreshing the page.

It is time to see what this does vs infiniscroll, now that you remind me.

See an OOM crash in the logs, but that was a few hours ago.
Last time we killed a process for being unresponsive for too long was about an hour ago, and before that was a couple of hours earlier.

It's probably just one of the MITM, wouldn't worry about it or look deeply into it.

I'm still having the same problems as last week... periodically I'll get the "can't connect" toaster, and random problems with page loads. Bad loading seems to manifest the most for me when I'm back-button navigating back to the default home page after visiting a topic, but has also resulted in failed topic list infiniscroll, or a recent post where the emoji list didn't load images when auto-completing an emoji (that disruption occurred ~2 minutes ago... by the time I got the dev console open, there was a "WebSocket connection failed" error message logged from nodebb.min.js, but the page had finally triggered the reload for my post at that point and I don't have any other failed requests in my network log at the moment.
Judging by the Response Headers in these requests, it looks like we're behind CloudFlare... are there problems on the CloudFlare side?

I've had trouble posting a couple of times this week. It seemingly just hanged.
It did save the draft each time though, so it was still there after a page refresh.

I just disabled Cloudfrare on
what.thedailywtf.com
.This could decrease cooties while increasing lag. Or it could increase cooties. Also, nothing could happen.

Small sample size so far notwithstanding, things have been much better for me today.
