😻 The Emergency Cute Things Thread

That works on more than one level.

Let's just hope that sponge isn't called Bob and has a friend called Patrick.

Dropped your phone in the water? Fear not!

Coming to a cinema near you, a blockbuster of epic proportions:
See it.If you dare.

Sorry, imgur .gifv embeds are broken, so I just pasted the .webm file (which your browser should support anyway, shame on you).
But I just discovered they work fine with an alternate URL, so I fixed the post.

Do you really think I'd choose to use IE? If I was at home, I'd be on Chrome, and it'd've worked.
-
-
It'd've is perfectly cromulent, and also adorable.

I don't normally even read, much less post, in this topic, but my son sent me this, and it's too good not to share. (Apologies if it's been posted already.)
CORGI PUPPY!!!
https://www.facebook.com/RalphTheCorgi/videos/901132769981443/Hm, that doesn't onebox. How about just the video?

Video does not work for me but original link works and very cute

You know, you could almost call that "baby boy meets baby girl for the first time". Or baby anything meets baby something.
Then nurture and peer culture takes over the education...

Funny, but still a dick thing to do.

Why are there no otters here?
-
That's what the otter thread is for.

Get otter here!

Bear with me!

Wombat we done with these goofy puns yet?

It kind of looks like a wizened martial arts master in wombat form.

GIS says it's a bald baby rabbit (except for the reddit link), pic is from 2009. This is a baby wombat:

You believe everything you see on reddit, don't you?

I found that with a search of "wombat" and then saw that image in one of the suggested related search things at the top, and thought it was funny enough to use even though it looked like a rabbit, not a wombat.
-
I'm still convinced that it's a young @boomzilla.

The best thing about the acrocats is that even if the cats don't cooperate it's still funny.
-
When it comes to not cooperating, those cats are rank amateurs:

THE FOLLOWING VIDEO IS 75% CUTENESS BY WEIGHT
DO NOT WATCH IF YOU HAVE SUFFERED FROM ALLERGIC REACTIONS TO CUTENESS BEFORE

I do not know how to make it one-box the embedded video, so here it goes:

Just post the .mp4 url in its own line

The dog is cute too, but I particularly like that it is one of Santa's elves that is holding the leash.
-
I can't track down the OP of this, sorry. "knowyourmeme.com" seems to have thoroughly gamed Google when searching for the origin of meme images, it hosts the image 37 times but not one of the entries actually links to the originator of it. Ugh. I hate the Internets.

You know. I never once heard that in all my edumacation. Clearly a british thing.
I learned this in American schools. I was unaware there were programmers who had not heard the term.

Because of the poor light and the funny angle I was viewing the screen at (too laid back and dealing with stuff at arm's reach), my ititail reaction was "...the fuck are cupcakes doing in the emergency cute things thread..."
INB4: Yes, there are those that consider cupcakes to be cute and essential in an emergency (on occasion I'm one of them). For the record: My dilemma is "...if it is sooo cute, I can't eat it, but I want to eat it...".
Seriously, I have often been given edible stuff from people I like (a lot) or who like me (a lot). These things become treasured possessions.

You're occasionally an emergency?
Back on topic:

You're occasionally an emergency
Strangely enough, yes. But cupcakes are definitely not on the menu when it happens

Well, there's your problem then: Not enough cupcakes.

http://legendfromthedeep.tumblr.com/post/104902814301/magic-missile-legendfromthedeep-is-it has a link it claims is the original source, but it's a 404.

Your other half has a mustache!
There ... I think I dissed her enough for today.

Not his dogs, of course, and the value of what an austrian zoologist said in the middle of last century may of course have been outdated by modern genealogy...
You know you're old when you hear that and your first thought is the 1800's.

@Mikael_Svahnberg said:
That is one of the reasons why they are used for life-saving: If they think someone is drowning they act first and ask for orders afterwards.
Fun fact. The Newfoundland was bred for saving drowning people, so successfully that they will often do so with no prior training. Newfies and some other breeds were crossed to create the Moscow water dog, with the intention of producing a new water rescue dog. The Moscow water dog would indeed instinctively approach struggling swimmers. Unfortunately, rather than pulling them to safety, the dogs only wanted to bite them. The breed is now extinct.
I think that is the best thing I have ever seen on TDWTF since 2008.

Fake-jeffing from Cute foxes are to be seen and heard telling limericks:
It's great that there's a thread about cute animals that make horrible noises, because I just discovered this video
