The Official First World Problems Thread™
-
It seems like almost no one knows about it though. I asked several web devs today about it, they all gave me blank stares.
I thought it was months, but might as well be years, I'm not that up to date on that stuff either, but at least I heard of it.
-
That's nothing like over here then: Periodic checkups are centrally registered. If you haven't had the checkup or deregistered your car before the previous checkup's validity expires, the ticketing process is completely automated.
-
If by "just" you mean "years ago", then yes.
First time I'd seen a site ask to set one. First time I'd heard of 'em.
-
First time I'd seen a site ask to set one.
First time i noticed it, too. Meta.d just asked me today (but I had also seen that this was a newly implemented discofeature).

FWiP: People keep harassing me about babies. Fuck off. I'll have babies when I'm ready, and if that's never, you'll just have to deal.
-
Well, that also happens on the third world, so wrong thread.
-
From what I understand the whole "waiting too long to have babies due to careers" thing my parents keep harping on is very First World.
-
I'm sure Pakistani girls have this problem too.

I got 17 problems but an arranged marriage ain't one?

We no longer have registration stickers on vehicles. Instead, police cars have cameras and number plate recognition software so when they drive past a stolen or unregistered vehicle the system tells them. They will give you a ticket. Bonus: They often won't let you drive an unregistered vehicle home.

This server could not prove that it is __localhost__; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.
On the plus side, I guess it means SSL would actually work if I actually had a legitimate cert...

Dischorse's link tracking stuff totally breaks that link.
Filed under: Wasn't expecting it to load, but wasn't expecting the complete
lbreakage from Dischorse either

You got 99 problems, and an @accalia'ing is one.

That's what she said.

Ewww. Cooties.

Fox cooties?
For some reason, I don't have a problem with that…
-
Have you been tested?
-
I… think it's too late for that

What's the probability of @Zoidberg responding with "Why not both?"
-
Hooray! People are paying attention to me!
-
Nope.
-
But you just did pay attention to him, thus disproving your statement even as you made it.
You caught yourself!
-
My post was intentionally ambiguous as to whether I was denying that anyone was paying attention to him, or expressing disappointment that I did not get the response that I had hoped for, or ... why not both?
-
AKA rabies.
Now, now. No need for antisemitism.

>rabies.

...uh. Have I bitten your ankles yet? And if so did you get the appropriate shots?

aaah. wearing my ankle armor was a good idea today. :-p
@CarrieVS said:How many times, cyborg ninja cat. My titanium teeth are not fazed by even spiked ankle armour. We have discussed this before.
@accalia said:That's why i'm wearing the special dual layer pair that when compressed so that the layers touch emits a rather sever electric shock..
@CarrieVS said:Ooh, a free battery charge.
When I searched your posts, that first quote was the first result.
Also, you seem to like biting @Onyx's ankles; he's the only one you've bitten more than once ;)

Onyx and Carrie, sitting in ah a tree

First comes love
Then comes marriage
Then comes a hybrid hologram-cyborg-ninja-cat-thing in a baby carriage

Is this the right time to point out I'm afraid of heights?
Not really. But Rimmer probably is, though I don't think it ever came up.
-
So, a bonsai tree?

*Bites @Jaloopa's ankles*

*Distracts @CarrieVS with catnip, runs away*

She responds better to ICs and FPGAs.

Or one of those shiny little red dots, you know, the ones that are so very hard to kill.

And it will be lasershark-proof, too!

I'm sorry, which one of these 50 posts of worthless bullshit is the first-world problem? I missed it somehow.

Are you suggesting that your inability to find meaning in those posts is a FWP? Well-played!

I'm sorry, which one of these 50 posts of worthless bullshit is the first-world problem? I missed it somehow.
Yours is. Being annoyed that others are being jovial and having fun is a FWP.
