The reason we have them is because they are cheaper than 2+2 by some margin, and safety than 1+1 without fence. And we imported them from Norway. When i took my license they were called Norwegian Highway.
Also, when you switched the driving side the middle lane allowed for people to easily adapt to the new rules.

Back then TrV was not headed by retards that hated cars with no understanding of traffic in general. Although, they did also remove the unlimited speeds at the same time as swapping sides to drive on.

Cars don't really need to understand traffic, as long as the drivers do. (INB4 self-driving cars)

@DogsB There is an old radio telescope dish 📡 on the campus of Stanford University, on a hill overlooking interstate 280. A friend had the idea (never implemented, unfortunately) of somehow aiming it toward the highway, obtaining a burned-out hulk of a car, leaving it at the side of the highway, and painting scorch marks across the road in the direction of the dish — next to a "SPEED ENFORCED BY RADAR" sign, of course.

@boomzilla I can't find the blinker fluid refill port on this BMW. You have any idea where it might be?
-
@Atazhaia
The blinker refuel accessibility pack is available for only a small subscription
-
@Atazhaia Blinkers on BMWs are sealed and non-refillable; they must be replaced as a unit with the horn by the dealership. Currently on interdimensional backorder, expected fulfillment is five and a half evers. MSRP $4 * 10²⁷.

Fortunately, in practice they don't wear out, because BWM drivers never use them.

Look, processing "nature" photos is hard, there's so much noise in the foliage it can be difficult to determine the subject.

@loopback0 It's paved and it's off the side of the road. What else could it be besides a parking spot?
-
No picture though maybe one day I should bother to take one.
On a side street next to my office there is a disabled parking spot, clearly marked both on the ground and with a sign. Because it's a disabled spot, it's about twice as large as a regular spot.
And thus there are regularly two cars parked on that spot.
Sadly while there are regular police patrols on the main street, they don't seem to often go to the side street.

Today was the first time I had to brake so hard my car did the "emergency braking warning flash" because an idiot thinking it's a good idea to ignore a yield sign and drive out onto a road with a speed limit of 100 km/h when there's a car approaching on it. Chance of idiot being rear-ended by me was very high, especially as I could feel the nice icy surface as I braked. More retardery was the idiot not having botherd dusting off the snow from his rear window (who needs to look behind them, lol) and also not driving faster than 80.

Only works if you have a dash cam. Otherwise he'll just claim you were tailgating when he braked for the cute cat.

Technically, braking for cats is considered dangerous behavior in Swedish traffic law. If it's an animal smaller than a labrador, the safe option is to not hit the brakes and just hit the critter. It's far better to say that you thought you saw a moose on the way up on the road.
