That's actually no longer funny seeing how the Fucking town sign gets stolen every few weeks. And while the townspeople keep Fucking close to their heart, I guess they won't like it if the Fucking taxes go up.
-
@bb36e You'd think that could be sold as the exact opposite of an energy drink, like a sleep aid or something. 'Be exactly as awake as your MPs were!'

Sheesh, you guys tax everything.

I love this song!
I was not sure what was going to be on the video, so I turned my speakers all the way down before I opened the tweet. Seeing what was on the video confirmed that this was the correct thing to do.

@boner said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:
But how can it be a surprise if it's exactly what I thought it would be?
-
But I don't have a son :(
-
@bb36e I do have a son, but traveling to Amsterdam by train would be a very long, very wet ride.
-
@hardwaregeek Not necessarily. GNIS lists "populated places" named Amsterdam in Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio (two of them), New York, New Jersey, Montana, Missouri, Idaho, Georgia and California, and a "locale" of the same name in Iowa. At least some of these places are likely to have better rail service than Phoenix.

-
@boner That's actually funny. Whoever left that tape there was a troll.

Makes sense. If people around you talk about food all the time, you're going to get hungry...

Somewhat disappointed it wasn't a real dolphin. IIRC they're prehensile frontal tails can shoot an impressive distance out of water...

Not sure if this goes in the WTF thread or here... Oh well, here it goes:
It's literally all about product placement (in a computer case)

Well there's already computer games that are all about product placement:
- For farm equipment
- For railroad equipment
- For automotive brands (dozens on every platform)
So. This makes way more sense than what's currently on the market.

How come this nation gave birth to one of the brightest minds in human history, yet they can't figure out how to make the sign impossible to steal?
-
@gąska Maybe because Austrian law mandates a standardized metal town plate in accordance with its traffic laws, you humorless geezer?
You're also forgetting the bigger idiot theory: if you make it idiot-proof, the universe will come up with a bigger idiot with a truck and an interest in Fucking rocks...
-
@jbert fair enough. After all, a bunch of scrappers have once stolen the Auschwitz entrance sign.

Does Austrian law mandate a standardized metal town plate to not be half embedded in a concrete slab?
-
@zecc someone should make an official inquiry to the parliament/head administrative office/whatever's the right institution.

Chemistry.
Although I'm not sure anymore, guess it doesn't work in English the way I thought.
-
@zecc Or maybe people are only stealing the sign and not the whole pole.

It's really not that difficult to unbolt a sign from a pole....
Not speaking from experience of course.

In English, the bond-multiplicity suffixes are -ane, -ene, and -yne.
