I bring this up because Charles Krauthammer is a reader of this “news”letter which, like seeing a spider monkey in your brand new kitchen making crème brûlée with a blowtorch, is both cool and scary.
I LOL'd at this line from todays G-File.

Yes, I know, Daily Fail, but..
If your partner is snoring when you're having sex with them, you're almost certainly Doing Something Wrong.

I like how they just have to state that a stiff bit of plastic with Post-It glue on it is 'drug free'

Bugger all evidence for those strips. I tried them for a few weeks and they didn't help me.
Of course, I am a fairly extreme case to the extent that I'm going to be spending the night in a sleep analysis centre in a few months time to see if a nose job is suitable

Two co-workers just went through this. You will be amazed how much your quality of life can improve. The surgery is quite painful, but worth it. Best of luck...
-
I've been on nasal spray for a while, which has already helped a decent amount. It seems to have stopped the sleep apnoea, but I still snore enough to keep the missus up all night, so any more would be for her

I wonder how well that actually works. Some of those sensors are awfully finicky about not detecting the reflected IR if the reflecting object isn't in just the right place. Also some shut off after some time, even if the object is still there.

In my experience, some of the IR sensors can detect the radiation from a pair of dry hands, but wet hands are nigh unto invisible to them.

nah. they just blacklisted to narrowly.
NO NON-PEDESTRIAN ACTIVITIES ALLOWED
sorted!

but wet hands are nigh unto invisible to them.
ISTM that would kinda defeat the purpose, but that's just my opinion.

So you discriminate against people that need wheelchairs?
-
-shrug- can't please everyone.
or possibly not pictured is the valet wheelchair entrance to the building and this picture is of the non wheelchair entrance.

nah. they just blacklisted to narrowly.

Except some jurisdictions would consider things like rollerblading and rollerskating to be pedestrian activities.
Suggestion denied.

What would you do? "Keep your wheels off the sidewalk?"

Anyone open the properties window of a command prompt in Win10 yet? Somewhere in a blog they mentioned they increased the default scrollback buffer to be larger than the 300 or whaterver it used to be. The buffer size is now 9001 lines. Yes, it's over 9000.
-

Print off a sign that's 12 feet tall and contains a list of prohibited activities in size-4 font.

In looking for a different picture I ran across this one and chuckled:

You're all filtering the wrong thing.
NO STUFF MOVING FASTER THAN 2 m/s
(SI units always go in lower case!)

But that would make a stiff and refreshing summer breeze illegal! How else will I air my quills?

nah. they just blacklisted to narrowly.
How about
No... Just No!
Or
Everything is strictly prohibited! (Punishable by your choice of cake or death)

That's a brisk walk. The average walking speed is closer to 1 m/s.
