@Tsaukpaetra Stop using debit card pls
Also, I would have used Credit Karma Tax, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to get that program to report a backdoor Roth IRA

@RaceProUK I actually find you not having been aware of that surprising

Status: So, I'm doing some tutorial videos for my pupils. I've finally gotten the hang of ExplainEverything (I might consider buying a dedicated microphone, though) and I've gotten positive feedback.
Save for the inevitable technical issues.
Pupil: "Say, why don't your videos work on my phone? I can see your website just fine but the videos won't play!"
Me: "Eh? It's a bog-standard Youtube embed, nothing special about those? Let me see."And indeed: I can see the thumbnail but nothing happens upon touching the "Play" button. Hmmh...
... that's when I notice the "Samsung" logo and check what browser exactly this phone is running.
One installation of Chrome later everything is working fine.

It's the exact right year that Leila can steal the engine if the one in her car is actually burning oil (which I think it is).
A Subaru burning oil is perfectly normal.

Also, you're not nearly as protected using a debit card vs. a credit card. (Return protection, price protection, money's not taken out of your account in the case of unauthorized access, etc.)

You're right, should have swapped in the credit card instead...

What is it?
Normally called a contraception, it's a set of mental stigmas that drive people to believe spending without consequence is a real thing and should be done as frivolously as possible.

That's knot what she's taking about. Our dearly perverted vixen is very knotty, and while some may think that disqualifies her from being a lady, enlightened individuals know better.

It's rare but some places (like a local pizza chain) have explicitly higher prices for credit cards because of the fees.

Status: Urg, apparently we're backing out of FreeNAS Corral because too many people are complaining about bugs. Ugh.
In other news, the last version of VirtualBox before they started going with BHYVE (4.3.12) is basically incapable of booting the Windows 2016 install disk for raisins.
And, apparently it's basically impossible to update that jail because it was imaged on FreeBSD 9 and now we're on FreeBSD 10, so SOL I guess.
Whelp, back to compiling it by hand from Ports, I guess...

@hungrier a P45 is the form you get when you leave a job. "Getting a P45" is thus a euphemism for getting fired/let go

I'm having the weirdest conversations today about how no one knew about my client's project or that it was changing hosting providers, how that change should have gotten CIO approval but apparently didn't... but money is somehow flowing to the new provider anyway, and has been for months... and no one can actually access the systems for which the provider is being paid... starting to wonder why I got out of bed this morning; all it got me was confusion.
