That is to say, in plaster, with two broken bones in my left - dominant - wrist. One of which particularly impressed the medical professionals and may need surgery tomorrow.

I never saw somebody that exacted about an inch. You realise that's still on the small side, right?

Strangely enough, image recognition seems to not be able to work right now.
Closest I can tell is "raspberry on stick with jelly doughnut and red licorice.

Ouch. How did it happen?
-
@Jaloopa Ice skating.
I went back in today and they decided to try manipulation under local anaesthetic. It worked so I didn't need surgery but I'm not convinced the local did much, and it's still very painful an hour later, much more than it was last night when it wasn't properly set.

Even if it only took the edge off, it's better than nothing.

Well, true, it's non-alcoholic, but I was thinking of something else.
-
@RaceProUK You're probably thinking of ginger ale. Ask @boomzilla about it, he's an expert

Trying to reply to a comment on a Workfront ticket. I got the email with the text of the comment, but i cannot reply to the email to post a comment as i get a permission error when i try, nor does the comment appear in the web interface for me to reply to.
I can see the ticket just fine, and all the prior comments to the ticket, and i'm an admin (though one of the lower levels of admin) in our Workfront instance so nothing ticket related should be hidden from me.... and yet....
i gave up looking and just pasted the email in as my own comment, tagged the people involved, added my reply, and then emailed our workfront super duper ultra admin with the question: "what the fuck?" just... you know.... phrased more politely.
I also edited my email signature for emails that get sent to her to have "Can we use JIRA instead?" as my job title. I don't think she's noticed that yet. or if she has she hasn't commented

@RaceProUK Have you tried traditional ginger beer? If it mentions 'fermented' on the label it's probably the right stuff. Bears little resemblance to the fizzy ginger-flavoured water you're presumably drinking.
And incidentally does usually contain alcohol, albeit <1% and not enough to stop it being considered a soft drink.

if you're ever in maine, i'll track down one of my friends that makes a proper ginger beer, none of this "ginger brew branded as ginger beer" for him, he makes a ~4% to ~5.5% (it varies by batch) ABV Ginger Beer that tastes like a ginger root kicked you in the mouth with a foot wrapped in a thin slice of lemon.
and bonus, he doesn't use any hops so the beer is drinkable by me! (i don't know why but i don't handle hops in beer well, the more hops in the beer the worse my reaction)

Is what I am indeed drinking.

Not sure, which probably means 'no'.

Sounds like an allergy to me. Either that, or you don't like the bitterness or citrus flavours they leave.
-

no, it's the migraine i object to, actually. the flavours are just.... odd.
not bad odd, just odd.
well maybe bad odd, because conditioned response at this point.... which almost certainly is not helping matters.

Ah.
I'll be honest, I have no idea how or why hops would do that. And it's a real shame too, as you're missing out on some fantastic IPAs.

Let me guess, instead of "ginger" they list "natural & artificial flavours".
I was going to joke that it was missing "Ale", but somebody else already stole that thunder.
-
@anotherusername This is the ingredient list:
Carbonated Water, Acids (Citric Acid, Lactic Acid), Stabilisers (Acacia Gum, Glycerol Esters of Wood Rosins), Sweeteners (Sucralose, Acesulfame K), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Flavouring, Barley Malt Extract

@mott555 Yet another ESXi 6.5 gripe. When using a Windows virtual machine, Windows Key shortcuts do not work because the web browser cannot receive the Windows Key. I never realized how often I use these, but I keep accidentally opening things on my local system instead of the remote VM.
There is nothing in this new web application that is better than the old desktop client. And the desktop client refuses to connect to any ESXi newer than version 6.0.

When using a Windows virtual machine
Just use RDP
I'm connecting to an ESXi server that is not on my local network via SSH tunnels over the Internet. Changing VMs would require me to constantly disconnect and reconnect that tunnel with different port/IP settings, and I couldn't open more than one at a time. Plus my local machine has RDP enabled, so I don't think I could set up an SSH tunnel for RDP anyway.

You can setup your port forwarding with local port different than the remote port (ex.: 33389)

Connect to one VM, than from that one connect to the other ones ?
Not ideal but better than your current situation, I guess.

Just caught up on one of my work e-mails... to find a Reply All storm from yesterday in which an e-mail was accidentally sent to all SharePoint users within a particular directorate, prompting no less than 77 replies to all. It only stopped because an Exchange administrator finally restricted permissions to send to the distribution list.
It's good to know I work with the best and the brightest.
