Sorry, did I say 268? I meant 341.

What you do is visit the run-down rusted taco truck, let the run-down-ness come to you.

Status: I just did a booze-vintory, and I have precious little alcohol in the house. Only about 6 cans of domestic beer, 1 bottle of micro-brew, and about a third of a bottle of undrinkably awful cinnamon flavored Jim Beam.

It is seriously the most disgusting alcoholic beverage I've tastes since Mike's Hard Cola.

best food almost always is in places like that.
the best BBQ in my city is in a place even the cops barely want to enter

Samsung is releasing some Galaxy product on MWC. Wonder what that would be. Let's speculate:
[poll]
- phone
- STB
- VR
- IoT dildo
[/poll]

Clicked STB because I don't know what that is
-
Clicked dildo because I know what it is.

Tonight I dreamed that Pornhub and 9gag were owned by the same company.
Dreams are weird, in weird ways.
-
Set Top Box (iTV, Roku)
-
If they were, I'm sure 9gag would be less about posting memes on Facebook and more about gagging in the BDSM sense.
-
They'd probably find a way to combine the two

Status: Watching the "debate" where the same people that complained about Barack Obama "not doing his job" are claiming that Barack Obama should not do his job for the next 268 days.
Welcome to election year, also known as Silly Season, where candidates on both sides come up with the most ludicrous possible objections to their opponents while tiptoeing around anything that should be criticized because they are most likely also guilty of it.

THOUGHT: As US election is looming closer, wisdom seem to be leaking our Americans. Normally even handed and thoughtful people are turning into partisan beasts, blindly championing their "good" camp against the opposing "bad" camp.
No wonder the two parties have the system locked down pat.

I don't know what STB or MWC is.
I love posts full of undefined gibberish acronyms.

Hamburg fixed that with some melting snow.

Nah, we're the same us, just louder about it.

I figured out why it says 500 OK and it's (surprisingly) not a Discourse bug.
Status 500 OK means, everything is OK, don't worry, this error is normal behavior when you're using Discourse. Nothing to see here.

Oh yeah, Discourse doesn't support colors...

For the record, coloured text on forums is usually obnoxious, unless carefully moderated or everyone has decent levels of taste and decency.
-
Recorded. Also, I didn't mean to indicate it was a necessary thing, just that it looks... Interesting. As a toy, mind you.
-
STATUS Idea for testing framework thought out and accepted. Not the best idea but it's a good crutch for the moment until we can unit test everything in the refactor. Now the age old argument of writing in hooks for test code.

carefully moderated
everyone has decent levels of taste and decency
That's why we can't have
nicelurid things.

Building site seems to be having trouble with their rock mincer. The belts are whirring away and the hopper's full of rocks but nothing's going through. One of the diggers is trying to break up the jam.
-
What flavour is the jam?

Sounds like you need bro, but for APIs.

Status: Dad's retirement gift from work is a 48" OLED Samsung Smart TV.
I hooked it up yesterday and god damn smart TVs are awful. Somehow, despite being contained in a tiny space, the FireTV stick on his DumbTV manages to be infinitely more responsive and delivers more functinoality.

Do THAT MANY people get Presidents' Day off? Jesus. I've never had a job where we got Presidents' Day off.

STATUS I've forgotten how much tedious shit there is in preparing tests. I got the skeleton written now I have to spend the next two weeks preparing the tests and gathering and interpreting test data and then rewrite the skeleton.
Uuuuuggghh I remember when I use to get stretches of days with code to write. Now I appear to get a few minutes in-between banging my head off the desk for hours trying to parse what I'm reading. Feels like a decade ago now.
Do THAT MANY people get Presidents' Day off? Jesus. I've never had a job where we got Presidents' Day off.
I felt the exact same way when I learned that the British don't get St Patrick's day off.

I've been in the office for 34 minutes and have already had about 10 wtfs.

For some reason my dad made plans involving myself on the assumption I was off. My face was: "when did I say I was off?"

We used to get Presidents' Day off. Then last year management said, "Nah, you don't need Presidents' Day. Have a floating holiday."
I like having the floating holiday better.
