I wish the only places I can get legitimately spicy food without having to cook it myself weren't ones where the spice is only delivered by adding hot sauces. The East Coast is such a fucking wasteland.
I'm having leftovers right now. One of the dishes is chicken in a sauce accented with cardamon and mace. It is sweet and spicy and creamy and one of the best things I've ever tasted.
(I know this is Indian and not Asian, but my point stands)

As an elementalist I can take the shortcut. But a veteran something or other killed me on top of the airship and I fell onto the platform. Several minutes later, while I was walking my dog, someone healed me.
Now I'm having trouble getting back up to do the diving platform--I fell from the highest pipe.

I don't have problem understanding it, I don't believe it. We'll see what happens in a couple years.
Besides, why would you want to have a nice career at a minimum wage place?

Goddamn it, why can't I just plug in the USB port, open Windows Explorer and fucking copy .mp3s to it?

delete my Robots In The News raw files
Nah, just encode the ones you don't like too much into a lower resolution, then you can delete the originals and save space, while still keeping the files!

Combination of both. Anything with footage you think you'll want raw, keep. Any shitty low-res game that doesn't have HD graphics anyways, keep the encoded files.
And now that you've found your debit card, hard drives are less than $30/TB

I've already deleted the .avis and just kept the first-pass mp4s. So it's not a huge sacrifice. Also the odds I'd ever go back to the raw footage and do literally anything with it is nil.
There's a LOT of RITN material we never uploaded. Huh. Part of me wants to dig through it and see if I can make some new videos, but the rest of me is depressed that Rantis and I hardly even talk anymore so I won't.
-
And then I dove right into the next platform down.

@FrostCat is female?

No, Animaeve is. The pun in the name wouldn't work if the character is male.
I got an Asura named The Batusi.
-
Right; now why the bikini?
-
Right; now why the bikini?
When you're at the top of that platform, you put on "diving goggles" and jump off. If you do it right you fall a long way into a well and get the "Dive Master" achievement. When you put the goggles on it automatically puts you into underwear.

Why would you want to do that? There's Spotify and Apple Music. No reason to go medieval.
Oh, and: you can't.

You could just type "pervert". Pervert.

TEL that blakey doesn't know what a swimsuit is.
-
To be fair, charr and sylvari have no idea what it is still. And norn have trouble using any material that doesn't look and feel like it came from a tree that was bashed against a bear for a while.

Yes you can. You just have to convert it to the correct format on your computer and then transfer using iTunes. Easy peasy.
Or buy one from iTunes Store.

Damn, even Apple can't update its shit without forcing me to restart Windows.
-
99% of the time, when an installer asks for a reboot, it's unnecessary anyway, at least on newer versions of Windows. After all, if you can update a graphics driver without rebooting, why do you need to reboot for iTunes?
-

Bullshit.
-
99% of the time, when an installer asks for a reboot, it's unnecessary anyway
Usually always due to keys in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations
You can look through these yourself and perform the renames/deletes then delete the keys. After doing that software that refuses to install while 'another installation is in progress' will merrily proceed again.
I've never found any of these files to be locked for a non-OS update. Misuse of that OS feature for some installers maybe?
-

It'd be easier to just restart though.

Sure Sometimes I'm running something in Debug on VS and it would futz up the test to have to reboot though.

You'd think someone would have written a tool to perform those renames so you don't have to do them manually by now… actually, they probably have, and I just haven't found it yet.
-

Someone did. You don't have to do them manually. It happens on restart.

Just reboot later?
-
I'd prefer not having to reboot because installers are stuck in 1997.
-
Just reboot later?
But then I wouldn't be able to install that other program for a day. It's not really a problem but I was very interested that there doesn't seem to be an obvious need for it to happen in the first place. My work PC generally spends all of its time on so reboot are a bit of an imposition.
-

Probably cause making people restart is easier on the installer writer than Doing Their Job™ and checking if the operation can be performed right away?
-

Mine are almost always on. They're rebooted when I'm not in front of it.
I'd prefer not having to reboot because installers are stuck in 1997.
Rebooting isn't exactly a big issue though.
Probably cause making people restart is easier on the installer
I'd imagine so this is related to it.

It is when I'm installing stuff in the background while, say, playing a game or writing code, and want to keep the flow going.
-
It doesn't force you to restart it right there and then.

Yeah, all the tabs are loaded, VMs chugging along, ssh sessions active, database connections established...
And then windows butts in with its nonsense.
"No Windows, I don't want to stop everything just so you can untagle your locks. Don't bother me with your crap and just let me work"
-
It doesn't force you to restart it right there and then.
But then the next installer throws a hissy fit because there's 'pending operations that need a restart'.In all seriousness, it's not exactly a chore to do it right. So stop being lazy fucks already!

Status: spent some time looking in to the discourse codebase (I know... IATRWTF). My esteem for the sockdrawer developers just went up even further for even figuring out where to start nesting. I looked at twenty-odd files and did not see a single comment. Of course there is no architecture document, and no; the code is not self-evident.

Gas stations over here are somewhat of a culinary institution. It's a Pennsylvania thing. You wouldn't understand.
Anyway, they all moved to Touch Screen based order entry more than a decade ago. Accuracy is up, volume is through the roof, customer satisfaction is up (no interacting with people in a noisy environment! And customization is painless!), it's easier to trial new menu items, you can have ridiculously broad options based on your ingredient set without having to devote menu space to it. You can reduce the counter and line floor space dramatically and enlarge the kitchen or dining areas.
