and has revoked an act appointing 6 constitutional judges because appointing them was unlawful (there were only 3 free spots)
The point is that three of them were appointed lawfully (and it's even precisely defined which three), but the current government just said "fuck that" and dumped them all by abusing a loophole (the president has to take the oath from the judges - it's a ceremonial thing an he's actually forced to do so by the constitution, but until he does they can't do shit).
And it's not even the worrying part of the story - the worrying part is the one where the constitutional court is forced to judge cases in the order of submission, which means anything they do now will have to wait for months or years for a potential overrule because of the backlog they already have. And if one of the cases stalls for any reason, the rest has to wait. Oh, and they have to drop everything they're doing now and start working exactly in the given order.

Also, when Polish government (or more precisely, its representation in European parliament) has to buy sponsored articles in foreign press to tell people everything in Poland is just fine, move along, you know your country is in deep shit.

How the shit does stuff like this EVEN HAPPEN!?
Why do you even ask that when you know the answer?

Day After Taco Bell Asshole Burn and Runs
NotAThing.tiff why does everyone say this is a thing?
It's the Grade Z chopped meat byproduct they use as "filling"-- which is 95% wood chips and saturated fat drippings anyways-- combined with the seasoning which is basically sodium and capsaicin. Or the wraps that have enough sodium and sugar in them to preserve them for years. Or the veggies that may or may not have been washed by an employee who may or may not have washed their hands after sneezing, farting, puking, pooping or picking any of the above body parts.

I never said it was adequately spicy. It's "white person" spicy, which is enough to inflame wussy assholes.

Here is the : Manager thinks in our area we should use zip files for code exchange, over email, and failing that use svn with many branches all copy pasted the same crap along with pdf and zip files. Practically, crap, but I wish at least svn was used with TortoiseSVN crap. There is no issue tracker, email zip files. Copy them on network drive and ask colleagues to not touch yours :))- Anyways, I set up gitlab and showed them what issue tracker is, and why it is useful to have proper source control. Used git svn to push latest svn branch also there. Now I am the bad guy :)) I get the feeling they hate me now :)))
- One day I am asked urgently to work on X, 2 days later I realize I did not perform Y that I should have done instead of the X. 1 day later the cycle continues with Z, that is then given to contractors while I was working on it.
- Everything is done by outsourced contractors. They are expensive, and their word is taken over anything else. If they say use svn, and download zip files from their ftp and do not touch issue trackers, then it must be true because confirmation bias.
- firmware is not software, I should not have asked a new candidate any algorithm questions about sorting or O(n) or such :)) also it was Ok that he was uncomfortable with "char *"
I lack JavaScript CSS, HTML, Ruby knowledge but I never needed them, I can pick them up in 1 month and increase my hire-ability.
Well, I am going to be paid until I find any fucking new job, and am gone

Do you at least have a forum?
Well, it is on the world wide web so it must be not good, and contractors are not comfortable with all this new hipster cyber web technology web 2.
I am tempted to install Discourse before I leave you know they may like it after all.

Judging from the name, it looks like it's already C++.

The point is that three of them were appointed lawfully (and it's even precisely defined which three), but the current government just said "fuck that" and dumped them
Yeah, I know this is a controversial part: some say that the 3 should be left alone, some say that since there was a part of the act that was unlawful they couldn't keep just "a part" of it: it's either lawful or not, there's no "partially".
But then again, I'm not trying to say "all's well". What I'm saying is: it's not really different to what we had before and the mass hysteria that ensued is unwarranted, our democracy's not in danger and our previous government was shitty and abusing power as well. But now we get criticized and and threatened by the EU.
Fuck that shit!

You're all just jealous of my beautiful ide settings and font, and you know it. Buxton Sketch ftw!

Next status: Re-writing from scratch?
No time. It's not too big. Only about 250K loc and no fucking tests but "WE NEED THIS FUNCTIONALITY RIGHT NOW" and rewriting the whole thing would take too long. My thinking was writing a full suite of tests for it first along side on going maintainence. Then rewrite each feature as they need expanding.

If your government officials state that cyclists and vegetarians are a danger to Poland, then honestly, you deserve all the ridicule you're getting.
You voted morons into office. Deal with it.

"security deposit" is used for rentals (i.e. going to a bar and using their pool tables).
Doesn't "rentals" imply that you lose what you deposit or is that word also used when you get back whatever thing (money or otherwise) you gave?
-
You're "renting" the pool table, but you give the security deposit for the cues. Return the cues, get your security deposit back,
-

Weren't those guys elected on the basis that they were supposed to be better than the previous government?
Fuck that shit!
*shrug*
We'll see. So far they've laid themselves a nice groundwork to do anything they want with pretty much no consequences, and it's been what, three months? I predict a lot of is yet to come.

It refused to leave.
A bit later it started getting a bit gobby and the bar staff had to call the police to have it escorted off the premises. It's probably still here.
-

Ah. Misparsed "rentals" (the thing you're renting) as "rent" (what you pay for the rentals).

Maybe translation problem? I thought they meant anti-religious vegetarian cyclists are the only people who are not a danger to Poland.
