the easier way is to go to your profile and search for the last likes. it isn't easy enough, but it's something

Status: Sitting in my car outside my dad's, waiting for my brother to show up so we can go rescue dad's truck (he collapsed at the Walmart yesterday and is quite peeved that the cops would not allow him to drive home).
Two mangey ass stray dogs just moseyed on by like I ain't no thang.
If dad sees them, he'll have two new mangey ass pet dogs.

No, Opera, honey, that's not the login page, it's just a form... Yes, yes, I know, it has a password field, but its name is nowhere near one on the login page.
Look, you stop doing that and I'll buy you an ice cream. Deal?

Is he alright? Not letting someone drive after being carted off sound reasonable, but then they wouldn't be near their truck anyway.

TIL. But with 120k likes received (one of the top 5 posters in t/1000), loading that list can't make Discourse happy. (It wouldn't be a problem if Discourse were sane, but I'm sure it must send all 120k every time. Because Discourse.)

Status: Sometimes it's a little extra obvious just how much you need caffeine — like when you boil water for tea and pour it into your cup, but forget to put any tea in.

teawater — not.

extra obvious
For me, it's more obvious when I end up repeating myself several times because the thought-to-speech subsystem keeps spewing garbage, doubly so when it starts tailing /var/log/messages......

Wow, that's the dork comment of the day.

Shrug. Asking him what's actually going on is like talking to a brick wall. All I know is that he collapsed, there were EMTs and then he was very embarrassed to be driven home in the back of a county police car.
The only way I find out about any of his health issues is by way of text messages asking me to go get his vehicle from wherever the hell he left it.
When he shuffles off, I figure I'll find out via text message 4 days after the fact.

FWIW it looks like it's limited to the las 200 or so
addendum. it looks like someone was way behind in the liking task...

Without a look to the source code, it's impossible to tell the name of that password field. The label doesn't matter. (I'd suppose the browsers' autofill plugins/modules look for input tags of type "password".)
Status: just noticed I had this post still in the queue.

Status: What was I thinking? I already gave Alien Isolation a wide berth, am actively afraid of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and approached even something like Dead Space with dread.
And then, me the moron, went and bought SOMA.

I just earned the 5% poster badge-- and literally all I do is bash Discourse, troll, and make jokes that add nothing to the discussion.
Quantity, not quality, that's what matters for civilized discourse.
If only there were some way of measuring the quality of posts. Perhaps a "liking" system. And then users could sort their posts by likes received to figure out what their most quality posts are.
Maybe then we could introduce a badge for most likable posters. Maybe even a badge for something like "most highest ratio of posts with lots of likes vs. posts overall"...
NAH, people would totes gamify that, right right?

SOMA's not very scary.

Give that back, you thief!
Duly noted: most make at least 1 post for every post @ben_lubar makes.

The names of all fields in the screenshot are an autogenerated mess not intended to be read by humans. The ones on the login page are simply names
username
andpassword
. Also, the login form has only two inputs. So, the only two things it seems to look for is the domain and a password input.

The only game I haven't so far played due to fear is Five Nights at Freddy's, and that's only because I have a rather physically adverse reaction to jumpscares.
And it is kind of scary that it's one of the few games that can actually, physically, hurt you in real life.
-
Jumpscares can eat a big bag of dicks.

Status wondering if Windows 10 bu, Chrome bug or discourse bug.... mousing over the abbr in the post above causes chrome to pause, unmaximize, show a blank rectangle where the tooltip would be then dismiss the tooltip....
weird....

Chrome on OSX seems fine with it. Win10 bug is most likely, or Chrome-on-Windows.

Status: The Guild Wars 2 TwitchCon stream just ended. They gave away the toaster. Also, they gave Colin water.
Also, my dad's laptop is sending out about 4 ARP requests per second for the non-allocated IP address 192.168.1.30.

Stiiiiilll at work. Waiting for endless compiles.
You know those little packets of ground red pepper pizza joints give you? I just ran a bunch of them through the shredder. For funsies.

Seeing an issue with it on Win 7. Chrome-on-Windows bug.

Status****strong text: I still keep clicking the Search glyph, because muscle memory directs me to the left-most glyph on the Kuro-bar.
I don't know if bringing up the Search box causes cooties, but if so-- sorry.
Also, allow me to renew my vote of Fuck You Discourse for fucking up UI just to fuck with people's muscle memory. Fuck fuck you fuckers!

Shouldn't you be out murdering prostitutes?
I've run out of trans prostitutes in my neighborhood, and traffic into Toronto's a bitch right now.
I'll let them replenish the herd for a while.

I don't think their "replenishing" is very effective.

I don't think their "replenishing" is very effective.
I thought trans people converted others by touch.
At least that's what the moral panic police say. And they must**emphasized text be right all the time.
Filed under: Get it? Right? "RIGHT"? Ha.

I think you have to pay them first.
-
@Lorne_Kates is against paying for such things. That's why he murders hookers instead of paying them.

paying
The chest armor worn by the character on the left costs 15660 silver (current price for all components on the trading post) and requires several non-tradable and/or time-gated components and a character with grandmaster tailoring. The chest armor worn by the character on the right costs 75 silver (current price for item on the trading post) and drops from any NPC that drops items anywhere in the game.
The stats? On the left, +141 in one stat and +101 in two others. On the right, +134 in one stat and +96 in two others.

First, I don't give a rodent's rectum.
Second, why not save the effort and just make an actual Skinner Box?
-
But then I'd have to make the skinner box in addition to operating it. This way, I only need to operate the skinner box.
-
Fair enough.
-
I actually taught a rat to use a skinner box in a "college for kids" thing like ten years ago. The rat grabbed the little lever and shook it until the automated food dispenser ran out of food.

You used cocaine, didn't you?

Jump scares aren't horror, they're startle. Games like Five Nights at Freddy's should be called "startle games".
Fuck that lazy-ass no effort shit.
-
Five Nights at Freddy's
The horror doesn't come from the jump scares, but from the anticipation of the jump scares.
-
Either way it's lazy shit.
Good horror is based around dread, not startle.
-
I haven't played any horror games (or startle games for that matter) but I hear Spec Ops: The Line is quite good.

Gotta love VoX
