In Slack, all messages that start with the "/" character are interpreted as commands.
If you are trying to send a message and not run a command, try preceding the "/" with an empty space....Slack said as it sent into oblivion my multi-line carefully formatted message, which happened to start with a pasted relative uri, requiring me to re-type it all again.

Nothing. Basically everywhere accepts contactless now while an increasing number of places don't accept cash, and cash is less convenient than card.

@Tsaukpaetra basically what @BernieTheBernie said. Iâve never seen âteutschâ, but it sounds like Teutonic, which is what we call ourselves (instead of other people who call us Germanic or Allemanic or who knows what).

yum upgrade

@Tsaukpaetra There's an option for that. I think it's

Status: Spent 6 hours attempting to pin down and fix what turns out to be apparent bug in NPM, which only happens when ran in docker on a mounted, non-root-owned directory on Linux and results in EACCESS in all scripts, despite the uids and permissions being OK.
Eventually gave up and reverted the node-alpine base image from 16.15.0. 16.14.2, as advised by some random guy on StackOverflow.
-
Things learned:
- npm will drop privileges despite
--unsafe-perm
. This flag is simply ignored since some version. - npm will hide the output of postinstall scripts by default, even if they fail. You can pass a flag to show it, of course this isn't documented anywhere except one github ticket
- official node docker image has a user 'node' (id=1000), but i don't see it being used in any way. It starts as root and then drops to whatever is the owner of $PWD. It may be 1000, but purely by coincidence. Either way the permission bug appears.

Well, I did fuck up by mounting a flash drive instead of using the network share, but mounting Samba in Linux on the command line is.... Annoying. At least with local media I can tab-complete most of it...

What tool are we talking about? Cause I've never had this problem. The only tools I used are gvfsd-fuse (which has nothing to do with fstab, by virtue of using fuse) and simple
mount
. And mounting a USB drive withmount
only requires 2 arguments...

Ah, control panels. Those are fun. I once tried to set something up on a server on which cpanel was running, but I didn't know that. I spent that day wondering why are config files in bizarre locations what is overwriting them after I edit.

This reminded me of an old IRC prank (possibly featured on Bash, but I've seen it live):
