Points for appropriate surety of kill. If this is overkill, tho, it'd be via screwing with the plastic parts. If the thing has any. And I really hope you do oil it after.
I'm gonna have to see if yon Wahl works in a minute, here, and make similar considerations.

My next batch of 3D printer resin has moved beyond being a shipping label, and an actual package allegedly exists in the clutches of a "USPS shipping partner" somewhere in NJ. This is the same shipping partner that sent my FEP film on a 900-mile detour, then disappeared it for a week before the next tracking update. I'm not holding my breath.

If this is anything like the last batch I intercepted, you're gonna have to or it won't do shit.

Huh. So I found some promotion where the pharmaceutical company will give me the drug for free (or, thankfully, reimburse me, since I already bought it).
And now it's looking like some kind of scheme to eliminate patient deductibles in exchange for getting hooked on their new drug.
They actually came through on this. I found a check for $800 in my mailbox today.

Status: Finally wrote up and committed an internal timing utility for use in benchmarking specific pieces of functions in our Node.js services. This replaces the bits and pieces of timing code I had been hand writing.
Now I need to do something similar for the ugly project (the illegitimate offspring of PHP and Vue.js front end beast that acts as a not-quite-SPA with the worst parts of both server-side rendering and client-side rendering/SPA). Mainly for the PHP part. Which is crufty.
Essentially, all the web front end API calls go through this PHP thing, which handles authentication and then proxies to the services. Or, for the older code, handles the database accesses/etc itself. In hand-rolled SQL and PHP. And does so via a very big switch, based on the "operation" you passed in as a parameter. No REST here. And this makes logging obnoxious, since it's all "in the return path" and the container logs are really just the Apache access logs, with basically one endpoint.

Sure hope you have warm-ups at least, the engine is going to do all kinda dynamic optimization. You think profiling Java is annoying...
-
@HardwareGeek Well, it only took 22 minutes for FF to kill all its processes, install updates, restart, restore its windows/tabs, and get to the point I can kinda interact with the window/tab contents. Most of that time was waiting for it kill its old processes. Maybe I should close some tabs.

At least I only have 67 errors at the moment after shoving most of the classes that shouldn't really need to be in the Presentation layer into its own project. Most of these errors are "You're trying to use App Settings in a Library project ohno!"
Almost done with that. Also rediscovering this extremely annoying habit of pretending to use a Singleton pattern, and making everything
static
Do I really want to fix this now that I have the chance?

Status: And I'm going to say out loud that "what's an interface?" and "how is it different from an abstract class?" are fucking stupid questions to ask all but the most junior people applying for junior roles. Nobody, especially framework jockeys that just write/attach event handlers in JavaScript, does anything of consequence with inheritance.
Making a big deal about design patterns is equally retarded. All it does is make CRUD framework cobblers look like pretentious children more concerned with looking like an engineer than doing anything remotely resembling actual engineering. You're not shaming us "lowly" programmers and our bourgeois applications like you think you are.

Only time I've ever concerned myself with the answers to those questions was during interviews. And I've always double-checked myself before answering. Like just now.
Edit: And this being besides the fact that I literally defined an Interface class two hours ago.

It's difficult to find information about Teepublic because practically any search leads to a design on the site. I was specifically trying to find what causes designs to be removed because it seems like they're doing that an awful lot lately. Sometimes entire IPs (DC comics), sometimes entire accounts, sometimes only specific designs. I ordered this Mr Sparkle shirt (from the Simpsons episode "In Marge We Trust") three weeks ago that went poof but there's still a ton of Simpsons art on that designer's list. Also some of the remove designs and designers have been showing in search results for weeks after being removed. And this is fun, they're agiling up their dev process and breaking links like crazy...the search results will show "by X," the detail page will show "by Y," and the link with go to "user/Z."
I had read the fan art licensing FAQ several months back and it seems like alot of this stuff was covered under a general license with the various IP holders. And reviewing it again, it looks like they lost alot of those licenses. It's basically down to Cartoon Network, CBS TV (where submissions are closed), and random bands. They also decided they don't like "mash-ups" (where you mix characters/styles) anymore even though they seemed to be super popular at conventions in recent years.
That really sucks because it's hard to get merchandise for so many IPs, and stuff like Looney Tunes for example is just the same ugly clip art everywhere, and all of these "independent" print shops have turned into IP police. It's like I'll have to buy a shirt printing machine myself if I ever have time again.

Ehhh, I would say they're great questions overall exactly because they're stupid and pointless in most day-to-day programming.
When a colleague and I use those questions during an interview we do try to frame them as not being a hard fail / pass test based on points, but if somebody will flat out refuse to answer them rather than giving it a shot then that can be a red flag. Similarly a right or wrong answer by a candidate who is adamant that they can't be wrong can be more interesting than the answer itself.
In our case we actually would find the remarks about inheritance interesting and try to start an open-ended question about the sense and nonsense of it all. I guess this question will be a lot more annoying if you're giving the answer to somebody from HR who will then split hairs saying “that's not what's on my paper here”.

@topspin two hours later it's still chugging along and now decided to install "scikit-learn", while I don't actually care anymore. Considering if I should just abort it now, because it feels like building linux from scratch shouldn't take longer than this...

Apparently if you choose to give back Kuro's Charm in the beginning, it triggers a "hard mode" where everything does more damage and has more health/poise - and you take damage even when you guard. I missed my shot to activate it, though.
