Or link, rather. Or probably a few other types that Explorer will transparently attempt to read metadata from in which arbitrary locations can be the target...

, but no. My connection has been crashing occasionally for the last few days. It crashed hard this afternoon (in the middle of one of my son's online classes; fortunately, it was Zoom rather than the usual school-specific application, so he could join from his phone), and when it eventually came back, I still had a lot of flakiness for several hours. It seems to be mostly back to normal now, though.

In AT&T world we had tools that tracked line stability, but us lowly Tier-1 plebs were discouraged from using it. Wonder if your provider has similar?
Also wonder if your sync is as good as or higher than what it's provisioned, or if something has suddenly caused more interference (a bridge tap, for instance)?

Well, add palm oil to the list of things that cause acute gastric distress. And here I thought I'd made a big pan of rice krispie treats with safe ingredients. No dairy anywhere. Even got the expensive non-dairy chocolate chips to spice them up. Bah.

Better, but still not what it should be. It's supposed to be 75Mb down; that's what I'm paying for, but I've never actually seen it much more than about 30. But at least it seems to be a lot more stable that it was
thisyesterday afternoon.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if your lsbbt records are full of FECs. I could run down some troubleshooting the customer side could do, but without more access it's all guesswork, and this isn't a help thread regardless.
-
@topspin The depth-first search I linked has an explicit point (labeled
stop
in the pseudocode) where it knows it is in a cycle. At that point, you could probably go into a separate function again walking the graph with the known cycle node as a starting point, this time identifying all visited nodes as members of that equivalence class. Consider you may need to merge equivalence classes as well.
I believe this would not affect complexity (some nodes/edges need to be processed twice, but never more than twice), though that does not account for merging equivalence classes potentially being expensive.

@topspin Hey, if Orange Man can wear cotton candy, I don't see why other kinds of food (in broad terms of reference) couldn't be used for such purpose

@topspin although that's not quite as old as @Tsaukpaetra's noodles, 1993 probably looked more like this:

@topspin I suppose. But he should have given his grandpa back that hobo sweater.

Check your contract. You're paying for up to 75 Mbps down. And 18.35 < 75, so there's nothing you can complain about

Alisha and I have this weird sort of.... co-dominant relationship? Since we're both switches, we each give the other commands. A lot of times that means we look at what the other one is doing, and push them to do it a little harder. Especially if doing so is beneficial, because

Status: I don't know where else to put this, but in case anyone wants a cheap lifetime VPN subscription, FastestVPN has a special on now, with an additional 10% off (discount code

First time I've seen that message. I appreciate the Amiga throwback, even if I'm frothing about the error itself.
It hasn't made any progress shutting down the crashed VM from yesterday. That "X" does nothing at all (it's not clickable AFAICT), and the dialog is modal so I can't close the parent window either.
Reboot time.

You can't kill the process? That's just the management window (if you've started your VMs correctly) so killing it won't actually kill your VMs...
Though I suppose that's an effect you're actually looking for...

Yes. Light-speed broad-band tool records/reports on many metrics, one of them being forward-error-correction events in which your line was so noisy it had to reconstruct your bitstream from the error correction bits.
It's one of the first thing I look at for a troubled line as it gives an indicator (in conjunction with the actual sync speed compared to the provisioned speed) as to what's going on.

Status: So while I'm waiting to be told what to do since the instructions are wrong, I decided to see if PayPal managed to send me my report. Nope. You know how it is, phone support willing to say anything to end the call. So I went back to the message center to request it again. Fuck I hate that screen because PayPal's needful doers are so fucking incompetent. It's a chat window, right, with a bot that's dumb as a box of rocks. But that's not all! They can't figure out how to get a DIV to scroll.

You Americans need some consumer friendly legislation. When I shop for broadband I see maximum speeds and average for my postcode, and get told the minimum speed I'm guaranteed. If I get less than 49 Mbps on my 70 Mbps connection, Vodafone are breaking contract and I can demand money off or an early termination

Can a market be said to be Truly Free if it doesn't permit the anal rape of all the customers without any consequence for the service provider cartel?
