At least Apple even give you an easy option that doesn't require a registry setting to inverse the mouse scroll direction. For a normal user who isn't going to go messing in the registry (or even know about it) Windows doesn't give you the choice.
Windows does give you the option of on the touchpad, while still maintaining correct scrolling on the mouse:

Yes, which is why I only pointed out there wasn't an option on the mouse.

Decided I needed another MS 4000 keyboard. Amazon has only 3party resellers and they all want $60+. Googled a little - hey MS is still selling them direct! And at only $35! Ordered last night. It shipped this morning.
(I keep doing unknown things on my work laptop keyboard - I suspect the mouse pad is too sensitive and does things with my palm. Hell if I know how to adjust that in ubuntu... Screw it, I'll just buy a keyboard - when we actually go back to work, I can still make use of it here - and I'm too to drive up to work again to bring that keyboard home)

@Benjamin-Hall It happened. But I guess we had a few other things to discuss.

[1] people stink at this whole physical distancing thing. Like...seriously people. Leave one of the two adults in your party home with the gaggle of little kids. Don't press up close to others. Don't touch each and every piece of fruit in the store with your bare hands.

Dang, it's warmer in Canada than it is here. Of course, it doesn't really matter since I have no reason to leave the apartment...

Yeah. I don't go outside where possible, but that's mainly due to the evil trees out there this time of year. The humidity just runs up the AC bill.

status3: Repair time. Tomorrow. Because the plastic thingy where the water tube attaches to the pump is not replacement. The pump must be replaced. And he didn't have another one in the truck. Already used on a prior job.
But he did remove the pump so I could put a bucket there. Now I just have to dump it frequently (1 gal per 1 hour of furnace time).

WaterSeer 2.0.

Status: I have sinned.
Also, in a , the digital deluxe edition is cheaper and you get an extra bonus over the physical deluxe edition what I could see. Also, it will be interesting to see how much Square can fuck up FF7. Hopefully they can make the game a challenge this time, because the original version is kinda pathetically easy. Except for the bonus bosses.
-
@Atazhaia Well, it took a bit of time for me to get the hang of the first boss? You can try it out yourself - there's a free demo after all ;)
-
@Rhywden I heard that the is an option to play with new battle mechanics, yes. I also noticed that the game is PS4 Pro Enhanced so I will get an even more glorious experience, I guess? Although I have technically already played through FF7 in glorious 4K with the PS4-enhanced rerelease, for the highest fidelity of the PS1 character models!

Status: Why is my SM58 out-of-phase with my SM57's? And why does the SM58 have a stripped case screw so I can't open it and flip the leads? And why doesn't my audio interface have a phase-flip button? I guess I need to sacrifice an XLR cable to make a phase-flip patch cable.

So it doesn't drain onto the basement floor. Where there is no sump pit. (Ah, CA...)
I think I'm generating a lot less than that. This morning, the bucket only had 2" of water in it.

Ah! It's a condensing boiler? I keep forgetting about those (mine isn't one) but they definitely need arrangements for draining.

No boiler (that I know of), it's a high efficiency gas furnace. Burning natural gas generates water vapor.

Burning any carbohydrate generates both carbon dioxide and water vapour. But (at least here) gas-powered heaters are commonly set up with the exhaust gas heating the intake gas, so the water vapour condenses in the chimney and drips back down. Typically it's then diverted into the sewer. What ends up going out of the chimney is barely warmer than the outside air.

No chimney. The exhaust goes sideways via a PVC pipe. (and no connections from the old chimney to the sewer system)

Sounds like whoever installed it didn't put a slight fall in the pipe so that it drains outside.

This furnace is not designed to send it's vapor out via the exhaust. It's designed with a separate condensate drain. Since the furnace is below the sewer line (and there is no sump pump in the basement), it collects that water in a "bucket" that the pump then pushes outside when it gets full enough. (the "bucket" and pump are all one unit)

Status: First semi-productive day in what seems like forever. I was, of course, home with either alot of noise-cancelling obstacles or a congested network to thank for no distractions from work.
Found some of the transcribed* receipts I need for this year's taxes.
Boxed up months of financial statements that had stacked up everywhere.
Ordered several binders for financial records (KMart closed so I had to find my brand elsewhere).
Threw out four bags of crap...junk mail, cans, boxes, etc.
Found my Ford shop manual...forgot I even had that...wonder where the Pontiac is.
Found alot of supplies I needed for conventions like bags and tags.
Found a surprising amount of money. Still sitting on a ton of coins from last month because the banks, where the change sorters don't grab 15%, are closed.*transcribed - Since my acquisition model changed from distribution to scalping, I've had to track receipts and they're not always helpful with what I bought, so I have to transcribe the items to a separate sheet of paper for entering into the computer at tax time (because I procrastinate - sue me).
Several of my CDs are still MIA, despite my best efforts thus far. As are the original receipts, though I have no doubt they'll turn up even if the CDs don't.

Should be just enough time to find all 900 KoroksNine Hundred?!
I have like, I dunno, around 15.
I used a big-ass 50 damage sword that I found lying around somewhere I shouldn’t have gone to at my current level, and used that to easily kill a Hinux (basically a cyclops). Thought that might work too when they sent me over to a Lynel (a huge centaur), but boy, that one beat me to pulp. Took me a while to realize I don’t actually have to kill him to take 20 of his shock arrows.

Status: too long since I drew stuff. Fortunately, I’ve had some opportunity to reset the timer to zero. See how long that can be maintained?
IDGI
A lot of Earth’s coal comes from the Carboniferous period (hence the name). The prevalent theory is that the fungi and bacteria that could decompose cellulose, lignin etc. simply didn’t yet exist, thus all these giant plants with copious amounts of the stuff had ample opportunity to form peat without interruption. Also all this unreturned oxygenic photosynthesis facilitated arthropod gigantism. And Now You Know.
Wasn’t sure I could pull off that first panel, but it seems alright… even if the canopy is rather sub-par. Colouring once felt more like an obligation, but does seem to be improving steadily.
