..."Missed"? So, what you're saying is, you were worried about your vest failing, so you didn't stab near the center of it - where a failure of the vest would result in life-threatening injury - and instead you failed at attempting to stab near the edge of the vest, and just stabbed the guy wearing it, thereby demonstrating both that you don't trust your product and that the product is inherently flawed because it doesn't have complete coverage? Brillant.
-
I don't think there's such thing as body armor with complete coverage. Unless you consider a tank or APC to be body armor.

Exactly. It's entirely your call.
-
Well yeah but there's body armor that's very hard to accidentally bypass.

For any others who may be wondering, this is one more reason why I gave up on having serious discussions with SJWs. It's impossible to have a meaningful discussion with people who think you're fucked up for the sole reason that you don't share their beliefs and as a consequence don't care what you believe.
-
It's possible to have a meaningful discussion with people whose first recourse is a lazy putdown, but such people are generally not interesting enough to make it worth the effort.

I don't know about that. Your lazy putdowns are usually only directed at people who disagree with you about the Progressive agenda and you generally have interesting things to say about other subjects.
-
But as he stabbed the reporter a third time, Montakyo shouted ‘Missed!’ and he was hospitalised
So yes, blunder, but not quite as bad as it's made out to be. Obviously the vest only works when you stab the vest.

O ye of little faith.

It's more specific than that. I try reasonably hard to reserve my lazy putdowns for people who open with their own.
For the record: "SJW" is a lazy putdown.

There's no need to put much thought into insulting SJWs. That they take the concept of "social justice" seriously is indictment enough.

Montakyo pulled out a large commando knife and launched his attack. Mr Lachover said, ‘You’re going to stab me with this?'
Montakyo said, ‘You have nothing to worry about, we are very confident in our product.'
I remember when people would test that kind of thing on themelves.

Distilled water is very unhealthy to drink if it is all the water that you drink.
Only if your diet also contains little or no minerals, really.
-
That they take the concept of "social justice" seriously is indictment enough.
I can see how that might appear to be a reasonable position to people incapable of nuance.

Agreed, nuance is not an SJW's forte.

Cricket croquettes on a baguette? Eeew.
And the baguettes are made from crickets also.
-
I think this is the most objectionable thing I've ever seen you post.
-
that's okay, it's still better than any of your posts!

IIRC, there was a business that made this shit on the show Shark Tank. And yeah, the thought of eating it is pretty horrible.
-
Don't you have a kid's birthday party to ruin or something, magician?
-
Of course, child. Yours.

I do my own
stuntstricks, sorry.
-
So no bug burgers?
-
Yes. But despite what you may think, that's out of necessity. No one wants to join you at anything.
-
1,100 crickets per bag
Who counted them, I wonder?
-
Not so sure. Plenty of people have no objections to shrimps and lobster which essentially amount to the same thing.
-
Shrimp and lobster are large enough that we eat the tasty parts and throw away the icky shell and viscera.
-
"icky shell"?
-
I don't eat the shells. My friends don't eat the shells, either.

They use an automated bug tracker.
Which one? If they used Discourse, I have very little confidence in the result.

Nah, I stayed at the World Famous Albuquerque Holiday Inn (where the towels are oh so fluffy!)

They counted the legs and divided by six.

To be fair, he's not quite as crazy as the headline makes him seem. He's planning to go into an ISIS-controlled area only if his local supporters are confident they can get him in and out safely; otherwise, he'll just play 'in a safe area “overlooking an ISIS-controlled area.”' Wacko, maybe, but not suicidal.
-

Why? It's basically protein powder. Somewhat expensive to replace all your flour with, but I have little qualms about it.
-
I doubt it would make a good substitute for flour in baking (although if you actually need something gluten-free, it may be better than whatever sawdust-like substance is commonly used), but as a protein source, I wouldn't have a problem with it (especially if I didn't know before I tried it). Insects are an important source of protein for a lot of hunter-gatherer societies.
Speaking of gluten-free, I was at an event last night were dessert was served afterward. Someone picked up a slice of apple pie, and one of the servers said, "Wait, that isn't what you think it is. You probably won't like it, and we won't be offended if you toss it. It's gluten-free, sugar-free ... flavor-free."
-
Sugar free apple pie? How did they get the sugar out of the apples?
-
I assume no added sugar. I just wrote what the server said; the rest is probably paraphrased a bit, but "gluten-free, sugar-free, flavor-free" is verbatim. I probably would hardly have given it a second thought, but when she said "flavor-free," that was funny enough to remember.

Why are you condemning these guys? They are clearly celebrating diversity and raising awareness.
