⏱ You know you've been spending too much time on TDWTF when...

Not sure, but I think @PWolff meant two or more digits But I know what you meant about the three digit thing. I solve that issue by deciding I don't need to track that topic any more when it gets to three digits as it is obviously replicating faster than I can cope.

between waking up and going to sleep
That's about a nap every three hours if I can do that.
But wait, I loosely remember something said in discussion about date formats here. There seem to be freaks that don't count the seconds since Begin of Era, but some arbitrary numbers they call yeeres, months, and daies, and maybe ours, minnits, and - strangely - seconds or similar.
Because computers are programmed to use that shitty incomprehensible way of representing times too, this is a constant source of annoyance. (At least they could have given an our 64 minnits and a minnit 64 seconds, as any reasonable person would have done if it had to be something around 60.)

I am pretty sure I can be pedantic here and say: "He only said 2 digits and therefor my picture is mostly accurate"

Dude, you seem to forget that I am the master of using Discourse wrong when it comes to not reading things but still tracking them!
As far as I know, I track every topic on this forum I have access to. That way I can always see how much activity a topic gets and stuff!
Plus it confuses Discourse enough to have the devs make a banner for it!Filed Under: Still proud!

Not sure, but I think @PWolff meant two or more digits
Right, I meant it in the sense of logical or, not in the sense of logical xor.
Edit: Luckily, I didn't say "three digits", otherwise I had to worry about myself too. Sometimes a topic gets a two-digit number of new posts while I'm composing a three-line post in a different topic.
-
Isn't the phrase "too much" in this context redundant?
-
a two-digit number in a blue circle here
"Blue circles. We hates the blue circles. Must get rid of all the blue circles."
I don't need to track that topic any more when it gets to three digits
I don't mute them, but I pretty much give up on trying to catch up on most topics on which I get that far behind. There are exceptions. T-1000, if it ever comes out of suspended animation, the status topic. And some I intend to catch up on, someday, like the book-lovers topic. But most of them just sit them and either slowly grow, like a fungus, or drop further and further down the recent activity list.I track every topic on this forum I have access to.
Almost, but not quite, true for me. There are a handful I've muted: PDA, questions, antics of the Mad Hatter, maybe a couple of others. 99.9% of what goes on publicly here, I track, and I spend far too much time trying to keep up with it.

Nothing personal, I just don't really care what people are doing to their avatars. (As for hats, I am by no means opposed to the practice. My Burns avatar has an official (I think) hat; this one already has a crown, so it doesn't need a hat.)
-
Isn't the phrase "too much" in this context redundant?
True. But then again on the other hand although should be considered that unnecessarily repeating superfluous redundant information one or more times again all over anew can maybe under circumstances possibly enhancingly improve a perceiving grasp of comprehension in understanding.
-

It might be a repetition used as emphasis, which is a cromulent thing in English.

@accalia I need a "keep calm and ignore the hatters" image kthxbye

hmm.. okay, but it's going to have a hat.

i'm not an official hatter so i can't watermark it.
i'm also lazy so i'm quite likely to forget to actually make the avatar in the first place.

I've got a start, but I left the thumb drive with my watermark at home. Guess the reveal will have to wait.

thumb drive with my watermark
Snort. Afraid your cow-orkers will find it and produce counterfeit icons?

No, I just like having it portable. Then I can use it at home or work, and I don't have to log into a cloud drive. And since we aren't allowed to use cloud drives at work anyway …

Over 30.
So I can't trust a 32 bit hippy anymore?

So I can't trust a 32 bit hippy anymore?
2 bits = 25 cents. 32 bits = $4. CPI adjusted from 1967 to 2015 = $28.58. So, no, a hippie with that much in his pocket can't be trusted.

You can buy a joint for less than that, so a hippie would never have that much money in their pocket.

@antiquarian: I present your requested avatar (since @accalia was slacking):

It's not the same now as Android carried on when I wasn't using Chrome, but Chrome has still used twice what the screen did.

yeah, i don't know where my mind was when i first wrote kissing
*thinks she might know*
-
Neither. The kind that don't make a sound when falling on a computer that also doesn't make a sound when outside the presence of someone to hear the "Build Complete" chime.
-
the kind that make a sound when they fall in the forrest or the kind that doesn't?
Depends. Has the Pope shat on it?
-
the kind that make a sound when they fall in the forrest or the kind that doesn't?
Do you mean a sound perceptible by humans, by foxes (and maybe other canines), by birds, by dinosaurs, by other trees, by microphones, by shoulder aliens, or by members of utterly insane fora?
