It's December already? Doesn't time fly.
i was more wondering why december apparently had over 2000 days in it back in year 6....

You can GTFO with your backwards dates
-
This variable-length time system sounds fun!
-
You can GTFO with your backwards dates
at least my date format correctly sorts into asciibetical order.
:-P

What an awful way of sorting things! This is where spreadsheets have it right. All data should be stored in spreadsheets, preferably Excel pivot grids, so that we can sort things however we want!

Get one of these ;-)
Whee 8 day uptime! (Our server room lost A/C last week for a couple hours and a bunch of machines needed to be taken offline...)
-
Get one of these

I'm pretty sure I've seen them even bigger. The kind of hardware our customers run, I wouldn't be too surprised if one of these days I run into a box with over 100 cores.

you try and make an unfunny joke on top of someone elses unfunny joke
You haven't learned to stop building on other jokes yet?
-
-
The trick is to build so many unfunny jokes on top of the existing unfunnny jokes that the whole structure collapses and causes mass chaos and injury, because then it's funny in a slapstick sort of way.

But can it play Crysis?
Filed Under: Sorry, but someone had to say it
But can it run Linux?
-
-
that's disgusting.
-
You can only run BSD on Linux hardware.

sudo apt-get install rpm
I feel dirty...
-
-
In my defense, I wasn't actually installing an rpm, I just wanted to list the files contained inside. (At some point I may need to extract, but not to the usual location.) I did google around a little bit looking for something more appropriate on a deb-based system, but didn't see anything. Alien, which now that you mention it I think I've heard of but didn't remember now or uncover in my search, actually wouldn't really have done what I wanted; at best, I could have converted everything to dpkg and then listed the contents with dpkg.

Hey, I'm not the one who packaged things up as an rpm for some weird reason.
$ file example_file_from_rpm example_file_from_rpm: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, EABI5 version 1 (SYSV), ... $ uname -m x86_64
