Plus Ultimate Coils of Bahamut, which is still killer even when everyone's 10+ levels higher and way outgears it.
No one is ever higher level or outgears it because it forces level & item level sync to the original levels the fight was designed for.
-
@izzion ah. Thought you could unsync that. Never done it personally. But there have been changes to abilities that generally make things easier.

@anonymous234 Someone likes hot dogs enough to accumulate them. Not sure what the whole

That's when you're about to take a big bite, but you're kind of holding it wrong, so the wiener slips out, rolls down your clothes leaving mustard patches. Then you try to "restore" it, but it's slippery, so it falls to the floor.

I need to replace the one in my trailer.
I recommend getting golf-cart batteries and serializing them (if memory serves they're batched in 6V packs). They seem to do a little better than the marine-class ones we used before...
I would, except I have to fit into the existing container (Group 24). Which is mounted on the trailer tongue.
Hmmm, form factor may be a challenge indeed. We had the benefit of the battery box being just an area next to the generator...

FFXII remaster has a feature every JRPG should have: fast-forward
If your game needs a fast-forward, maybe you should rethink your design.
Like I said: every JRPG (Sqeenix games in particular) needs this.
The more egregious design flaw in this game (and others in the series): the side quests are significantly harder than the main quest. This is not bad in itself... except that if you do the side quests, the regular bosses are complete jokes. I literally one-shotted an end-game boss with a single melee strike from my mage in FFX.
It really undermines the dramatic tension. In such games it's then especially funny if you just one-shotted the boss who then - in a cutscence - proceeds to completely fuck you over. Soooo believable!
There's even a name for it!

Generator? LOL. (Well, I do have a Honda 2000i) My trailer's only 12' long and 1400#s. Surprisingly roomy for that...

I'll admit our trailer is a little... over-compensative in nature. Granted it was supposed to support a family of five, and provisions, and... stuff.
Should probably do maintenance. Everyone just shoves shit into it like a makeshift storage shed.

It really undermines the dramatic tension.I remember that happening in Morrowind. I so enjoyed the universe that I spent days (weeks? months?) just stumbling around randomly, doing subquests here and there just following what seemed the most fun. Then one day I decide to move at least a little bit forward on the main quest, which I had always let on the side because I started to explore other stuff. Basically, I told myself "I'll move forward along the main quest until I hit a hard-enough villain, and then go back to exploring some of the areas I haven't been much yet." But I just went through all the main quest without even noticing it, it had become so trivially easy.

@error
Party size is much larger in JRPGs, more room to jump in without feeling like a fourth wheel.

My girlfriend and I like the phrase "switches be crazy." Used in situations when, eg, we show up to a party, each on a leash to the other.

Which do you prefer: A) kicking puppies and leering at underage students B) doing good and holy things and helping students learn as a good person
That strongly decreased my interest in working there.

(B) is multitasking too. The good task could be leering as that teaches the student ... um ... something...

Status: Well, my summer's officially ruined. Even though there's talk of everybody being dragged back to the office by the second week of May, every convention I had plans for through August is cancelled. Why did I ever expect anything different to happen?
-
status: just got word that we're moving office to down the hall, and that's basically mandatory. The plan is everyone starts disassembling their workstation at 10, have lunch, then move shit.
Considering tomorrow's bedtime is 12pm, that's going to suck....

Hah. No. As it turns out, I'm actually on their side politically/in educational philosophy, but if you're that polemic and pushy in an application, it says bad things about the working environment.

I don't have any active tasks assigned, so I'm basically just on-call watching my email.
But it's been a pretty quiet day, no emails so far. That's... actually unusual. It's quiet. Too quiet.

Oh, I guess the default behavior of Windows is to hide those. If only the company that made Outlook and the company that made Windows could somehow collaborate, they wouldn't have these kinds of issues.

@error There's supposed to be a way for hidden ones to show themselves (with a notification, I think). But how would the developers of Outlook, whoever they may be, know about this Windows feature?

They're not allowed, remember? Once upon a time, there was this big lawsuit where everybody wanted to AT&T them...

But, you can drag it down out of the pop-out.
