Likely a Sphingidae moth.
What do you think of Attelabidae? You may find some very strange looking images with Google search.Sure.

@Tsaukpaetra That's terrifying.

furry Canadians
I have encountered these in the wild twice. They tend to run away very fast once they see you, though. I am still envious of my dad who got to cuddle with cubs when he did work at a wildlife preservation center.
While that looks
:its_so_fluffy.gif:
Wikipedia tells me that the Canada Lynx is downright small (80-100cm, 5-18 kg) compared to the Eurasian Lynx (80-130cm, 8-21 kg females, 18-30kg males)

@kazitor nice. What pterosaur is it, if I may ask? I thought Rhamphorynchus but I'm not sure the snout shape is quite right.
If I'm looking for things to critique, I think the current understanding is that there wouldn't be such a clear line between arm and wing. The arm might be the thickest part of the wing, but it's not a thin membrane like a bat's: it's a fleshy wing that probably transitions more smoothly from the arm.

I thought Rhamphorynchus
Yep :) Except italicised. And there's yet another 'h' before the 'y'.
Fair point about the patagia; having a huge bulge at the front doesn't seem so aerodynamic.

Age: four minutes....

@topspin My dog makes a face like that after drinking beer. And goes right back to it.

Wonder how long that lasted?

@Tsaukpaetra I expect no longer than until the horse got hungry.

Never posted this before because I couldn't find the original source (and with it a high-ish resolution). But now I've tracked it down to Chuang Zhao, so have Nemicolopterus:

IMO, pterodactyloids are invariably quite ugly, while the rhamphorhynchids are occasionally cute. So when a pterosaur is cute, it's "naturally" a rhamphorhynchid.
Nemicolopterus is a pterodactyloid, interestingly.

Cuteness is extrinsic to pterodactyloids but still possible. "Ugly" was perhaps quite an overstatement; all pterosaurs are good in their own ways.

Oh god, the adorableness is so much it's painful.

I don't believe molluscs get much representation here…

@pie_flavor That's me when I get told to go outside too.
Same, except we have an outdoor wood-burning boiler to heat the place, so if I don't go outside, I'll get cold.
A little cold for a few minutes > being cold everywhere inside my house. (And my family wouldn't like it, either.)
(And actually the neighbors, too, since their side of the duplex uses the same heater. Because I'm a night owl, I feed it in the evening, and he feeds it in the morning.)
